sorry to ask, but will you transate the diggy-mo' interview?
Hmm probably soon! Right now I'm taking it easy on translating to recover from Veritas intermissions (they took a lot more out of me than I bargained for haha, and even then I want to touch up some rough spots in it) but maybe sometime in November? It's bothering me that I haven't gotten to it yet XD
Hi I'm new to this genre so I might be having a Boss Baby moment. But am I correct that Love Live is a huge influence on Bandori? Im following the narrative of "girls band anime" and Im surprised no one mentions LL, it seems like a very natural middle step between K-On and Bandori. What do you think?
Bandori has its roots very very very directly inspired from Idolmaster, specifically Julia from Million Live who is voiced by Aimi and plays guitar live on stage while singing. Like, to the point that a specific performance of a Julia song literally kickstarted the planning for Bandori with Aimi as its star. Kidani (president of Bushiroad) and Aimi (who of course voices Kasumi) themselves have confirmed this many times over the years. If Bandori takes any inspiration from Love Live's practices, that's not something I'm aware of.
I also think people don't bring up Love Live because it's an idol franchise, not a musical instrument one, and Kidani is very pedantic about the fact that Bandori is not an idol franchise. (Idolmaster is an idol franchise too, but Julia specifically does play an instrument on stage, which is why it stood out and made the lightbulb turn on for Bushiroad)
Hello, I was wondering if you were going to translate the AveMygo producer interview?
hello! im planning to make a account that posts hourly ave mujica live quotes and was wondering if its okay if i use your translations? with credit of course!
sorry to ask, im sure you arent planning on doing it because of your ave mujica translations but are you going to translate live it now at some point? if not its totally okay! i just cant find the lyrics anywhere for the songs that were released with the album so i could at least translate them with papago
I'm on a bit of an Aimi hiatus right now admittedly, I haven't even listened to the songs yet myself;; I want to get back to it eventually but I can't give a timeline for when. It'll just be whenever the mood strikes for me again. I will say knowing someone out there is still interested in reading my work for her does motivate me more, so thank you for asking about it!
As for raws of the lyrics, you can always find them on here https://utaten.com/artist/lyric/17335
They're not copy/paste-able sadly (I'm always having to dig for sites that let me). If you Google 愛美 歌詞 (word for lyrics) and the song names you can find more results and hopefully one that lets you copy the text. I hope that helps in the meantime
Good day! During Ricochi’s trip to Shanghai for her fan meeting, she had a solo interview! https://weibo.com/ttarticle/x/m/show#/id=2309405065543127531782&_wb_client_=1 while it is in CN, I wanted to share in case you might be interested.
Hope you have a good day!
omg you're so real for wanting a garupa jazz band... before we knew anything about mygo i was really hoping they were a jazz band!! obviously that's not the case today... i absolutely love their music but sometimes i still feel like we missed out on having a jazz band. anyways sorry for the rant but what are your favorite jazz/orchestral songs? :)
Oh that's so funny! MyGO music is roughly what I was expecting it to be (though minus all the nuances Youchan is able to put into her voice, which really impresses me). I hope they do have a jazz band eventually though!
Also gosh hmmm. To be honest as I was typing out those genres, Go Shiina's work came to mind! He used to work for Bandai Namco and he's done work for Idolmaster, but I love his work for the Tales series most. For a jazz example look up "Bandit Holidays" and "A Cheerful Bandit" from Tales of Legendia, for an orchestral example look up "Melody of Water is the Guide in Spiritual Mist" from Tales of Zestiria. He also does vocal versions of songs, like "Saihyou" from Idolmaster and "Hotarubi" from Tales of Legendia. I feel like Bandori would need something a bit more simple if they did orchestral music but the vibe of his work is similar to what I would love to see!
How do you envision an hypothetical new band after Ave Mujica will look like? Will Bandori_en still exist?
Bandori's way too unpredictable at this point for me to say so I'll just say what I personally would like, which is a jazz band. Or something more orchestral. That's something Bandori doesn't really have and it would be really fun
I also don't think the English server for Garupa is going anywhere, if that's what you mean
hello!! i'm currently in the process of outlining a script for a video essay detailing the history of ave mujica thus far, and was wondering if i could use your translation masterlist as reference!! full credit and a shoutout to you will be given in the very beginning, as well as in the description whenever it's uploaded, and a document with all of the links and sources i used. obviously i won't go through with using it without permission, but i wanted to ask!
thank you so much for your translations, you're a godsend to avemuji fans who don't know how to translate 😭
do you follow any seiyuu projects/units? (like trysail or CrosSing)
Aimi will be performing on Anison days next week! 4/26 8pm jst You probably will find out that information before you see this but still! Covering Small World and performing メリトクラシー I believe sorry if I get anything wrong
Hello, would it be alright with you if I used portions of some of your ave mujica songs and prelude translations in some posts I'm planning to make before the end of the month? thank you for letting me use a portion of your prelude translation a couple months ago.
found someone reposting your translation on youtube, not sure where else to tell you incase you didnt know yet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cowtDlaUBl8
Have you watched 【佐々木李子 Rock!Only Live ~BREAK!!~-哔哩哔哩】 https://b23.tv/7dMKUd4 ?
The fact that you can draw, translate and do it all while surviving the content onslaught is amazing. Thank you so much for your hard work with the TLs! The interviews really helped me appreciate the seiyuus and writers more🙇♂️ and also thanks to the Avemuji rico post I have been dragged into the world of her vocals and Ive never been more grateful so, thank you!
Aww thank you so much for your kind words!! It means a lot to me that my translations can make you appreciate things even more. I really love making and sharing stuff for Ave Mujica and I'm excited to continue doing so for a long time!
Very glad to expose you to Ricochi's solo stuff as well, she truly is such a talented, wonderful artist. This year one of my goals is to put out more translations for her and share more resources on her (and of course, look into her more for my own sake), so I hope you look forward to that as well!
