Do you sometimes tell the truth but people still don't believe you and think you are lying?

I was once asked how much my husband made. I said I didn’t know. Honestly— I never pay attention to how much because he gets a raise every so often, and honestly I thought it was rude AF to ask. A Catholic deacon who happened to be in the perimeter called me out as a liar... lol... I ABHOR that mofo to this day. I take it that that is why he was ousted from the church he served— for being a mofo asshole. I laughed in his face. For whatever reason I don’t think he liked me from the jump. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It used to happen quite often, but I think as people get to know me I don't make a habit of trying to deliberately mislead.
