If people say (and some do) "If you burn the bible or the quran, you should be burned as well." What do you say to them?

Burning the bible,tora or the quran is just edgelord behavior and childish...burning a human being because of that is dumb af though.

I don't agree with burning any books, religious or not, but burning someone for that is a tad extreme

Its contrary to Matthaen ethics. "Judge not, that ye be not judged." "Blessed are the merciful: for they will be shown mercy." Matthew 18:15-17.
It's not really the role of man to condemn our brethren, but to uplift them. That would be, in my opinion anyway, one of the important lessons learned from the Gospel of Matthew. How to be act in our dealings with the unrighteous... and the answer is simple: Be righteous. Show mercy and compassion. Share our wisdom in word and deed as a living example.

Don't seek to condemn them out of hate, but to inspire them out of love.
