Would you count poland to east europe or to central europe?

I would say it is off to the east when the geographical center is somewhere located in Germany. Historically that is the view. If we shift the geographical area to somewhere in Russia, let's say the Ural mountains as the border of Europe, then Poland is quite the central region.

Are we still using the Urals as the dividing line? I guess that would geographic make it more central, I feel like culturally it's more eastern though, but maybe that's just me thinking about WW2 and the cold war and whatnot
