Al Qaeda's threat on American soil was never at any point higher than that of white nationalists, it's just been media scare-mongering about the former - the only difference is now the latter is emboldened and the Republicans who their base is comprised of are afraid enough of them that they won't denounce them too loudly

It is no wonder that people become radicals when their outlook and situation in life gets ever more doomed, be it in real life or only in their imagination. In fact the difference between healthy and wealthy and those with bleak perspectived increased during the last decade and even more so during the last years.
