i just finished blood water after finding it a few days ago (i was unable to put it down), it’s the first fanfic i’ve read in years and my first ateez fanfic. i loved it so much and it will definitely always have a special place in my heart thank you so much for putting so much effort into it. i saw there was plans for a sequel, is that still happening? i would absolutely love more content in this universe 🥹🥹

I do still want to write a sequel. I have so many ideas, and so much already planned out. It's just so hard to get time to sit down and write now. I'm still hopeful it'll happen, but we might need to wait a little longer ^^;;

i found ur blood water fic today and sat down to read it after dinner. it’s now 6am and ive finished the whole thing. i have no regrets abt my choices. it was VERY well thought out. every twist was devastating but never in a way that felt unfair to the world you built. i really admire this, more than i could hope to say in the character limit. would you mind re-linking the blog post you mentioned in the final author’s note? it doesn’t seem to be working for me on ao3 :( thank you! wonderful fic once again

binge read the entire blood, water in a span of 3 days, it was soooooooo good, i definitely cried during the last few chapters
also couldn’t help but notice you’ve turned it into a series!!! so excited for the next works in that universe!!

Ah yes, i did decide to expand it into a series! It will be a direct sequel, so same cast, but with a few additions. I've had a few floating ideas for other groups in the same universe, but none have really stuck like the sequel idea, so that is what we'll be getting (eventually. hopefully.) So your last 2 updates showed up in my email but I was so busy i couldn't find the time to read. When I did get around to reading today, i found that I had missed the third from last ch update (i always read one ch before the latest update as a brush up). I get to the last ch and read Epilogue in the title. I gasp. I look at the ch count. I gasp again. I've been reading Blood water when it was a 3 ch wip so it's been a journey that's come to a beautiful ending. Thanks for the treat alette, you always amaze.

Are your side characters based on other k-pop group members or are they random names? If so, who is Jihoon based on? I thought Minho sunbae was shinee's Minho but that could just be the shawol in me lol

Mostly! Jihoon is i guess an original character, though i won't lie, i love the thought of seventeen's woozi being mingi's high school rebel crush haha. Seonghwa's sunbae was definitely SHINee's minho though!! A perfect first love 💙
