1) prince!han, hero!shua
I'm going to let the cat out of the bag and finally say that this story was inspired by the game, Slay The Princess (which is SO COOL btw. also one of the main VAs is the creator and the voice of the MC of TMA hehe). it's essentially a choose-your-own-adventure, which means there are multiple endings, and the 2nd passage of lines in here [https://twitter.com/hannietide/status/1617896546292600832?s=20] actually summarizes the available endings pretty neatly (or at least, the ones before the update they released recently). it's nice prose AND it's a little easter egg for people who are familiar with this game, so I'm very proud of it ><. sadly, because of the way I'm reworking this fic, these lines will no longer exist, but I'm still happy that my brain came up with the content in this wip!

2) resident evil 7 soonhao
okay, there's no specific detail in this- it's the overall characterization of each person that I really like (which feels strange to say about my own writing but it's true!) Even when I'm not being 100% canon-compliant, I like highlighting certain, Real personality aspects or referencing little things as easter eggs ><. So, in this fic, we have Soonyoung (intense in his emotions, very spontaneous) being furious in his grief, lashing out at others, making unwise impulsive decisions (i.e. drinking with Cheol when he's a notable lightweight). Then, we have Minghao who is remembered best for his kindness, his fondness (because we need more gentle minghao rep in this fandom, methinks!). AND OH, JIHANCHEOL !! sorry, they have very little presence in this snippet, but I still think I managed to say a lot about them with their reactions to cheol getting punched ><! stone-faced jeonghan coldly reminding soonyoung that hurting someone he loves means he's not welcome in their home anymore!! jeonghan who stands up unflinchingly for those he cares for, ahh!! and shua, who so many members have cited as a support pillar, being the one to ice cheol's bruise and care for him. they mean so much to me !!

oops- sorry for the long response ><! clearly, the ciel way is to never use 10 words when they could use 100. and I'm sorry if this is not particularly coherent, I just wrote this all out hehe. but thank you for the ask, dearest sesame!! this was fun to think about 🥰

OH, THIS IS THE MOST PERFECT 2JIHAN WORM, ANON! joshy and hoon watching their favourite anime(s) togetherㅡjihoon absentmindedly playing with shua's fingers and shua letting him with a fond smile and an occasional headpat with his free hand. then in comes jeonghan, who sprawls out on jihoon's lap like an overaffectionate cat, puckering his lips for a kiss. jihoon obliges him, of course, and jeonghan has the biggest, smuggest grin on his face after they pull apart. when jihoon straightens up again, he's startled by the sudden force of shua slumping his entire body onto his side, loosely circling his arms around jihoon's neck & shoulders, pouting like he wants a kiss too. now jihoon is sandwiched between the two of them and it's great because they're his boyfriends, but he's also like Erm.

AND IT KEEPS HAPPENING. jeonghan gifts jihoon a new mixer for their anniversary, and then out of the blue, shua buys jihoon a set of figurines he's been eyeing for weeks. it gets to the point where jihoon has to move the gifts from his studio to his apartment because he can only handle having so little floor space for so long. and, once again, jihoon feels very, very loved and he loves both of them very much in return, but he also hopes that they realize how they feel about each other soon cuz this is ridiculous at this point. like, he definitely saw how they were Looking at each other during the last movie night in the brief moment that they weren't looking at jihoon ♡

So Jeonghan sets out to do just that. And he does. He outsmarts Shua, catches him off-guard and wounds himㅡnot fatally, but enough for the severe wound and the subsequent blood loss to knock him unconscious. Jeonghan carries him back to his lodgings, stepping out for just a moment to put away his gear. Only to come back and find an unconscious and wounded man where the deer was layingㅡwho is every bit as ethereal in his beauty. And Jeonghan PANICS because a) oh my god, he's Hot and b) oh my god, he's DYING. Then, from there, we'd get some very tasty wound-tending and getting to know each others (and probably a little bit of enemies-to-lovers from Shua's side because he likely doesn't take to kindly to nearly getting hunted within an inch of his life!) hello, dear sesame!! 🥰 and oh, that's a very good question! my snake knowledge is admittedly very limited, but I adore hognose snakes (the upturned snout and polite little face just has me so endeared;;) and the Formosan Odd-Scaled Snake, which I found out about recently and is so so pretty (its dark scales look iridescent in light and, as a lover of shinies, that is my favourite thing ever!!). I also love coral snakes with their vibrant colours, set in these gorgeous patterns of bands/stripes (even though I would be terrified to swim in any water where they live).

ahhh, I'll be doing a deep dive into the snake rabbithole whenever I have the time, so I will keep you updated if I find any more cool ones that I like 🥰✨️

oh gosh. I've technically been a jihanist since late 2018, so the exact reason I started liking them is a bit foggy, but I can tell you why I like them now!

A big thing I adore for pairings is "like attracts like" and jihan is the Most like attracts like EVER. The peak of it, even. Ever since debut, they've clicked in a way that feels like they're on a specific wavelength reserved just for them. They're the same brand of silly and devious, they're apparently always making strange bets with even stranger penalties, and they love scheming together for funsies against the other members (see, multiple GoSes, OFD: Japan, any live that they're in together)

Also, they're glued to each other's sides. Constantly. If jihan are not standing/sitting shoulder-to-shoulder for more than a fraction of a second, they will begin to crumple on a molecular level (very real) (source: just trust me) HFKDJD- but, for real, they gravitate towards each other whenever they can and I just really like that. Something something having that one person who you can find solace in, whose shoulders you can rest your head on when you need it. ahhh, it just means so much to me 🥹
