I'm a shiba who likes cooking and baking. Also I work at my parents' bakery. That's pretty much it! 🎂
Feel free to ask questions and I'll get to them as soon as I can!

I have to ask this since you like cooking. Do you watch the Food Network?
I love the Food Network! Guy Fieri is one of my heroes. Though lately I've been tuning into Fox for He(ck)'s Kitchen. I think a lot of the drama is overblown, sure, and that waterphone sound effect is just ETCHED into my head. But it's addicting! I can't help but rally for the underdog!
Sorry, rant over, haha.
Food Network is great not only for a few cool recipes, but it's honestly really relaxing for me. Whenever I'm stressed out, it's therapeutic to just sit and watch someone make some shrimp Mozambique or whip up some sandcastle themed cupcakes with graham-cracker crumbs as "sand".
And of course, special mention goes to Rachael Ray's 30-minute meals. Love them!
How ferociously do mortals compete over their favorite activities? What I mean to say is it would seem Breel Milton puts as much, if not more, work into baking as you do. Do you feel threatened by him for this?
I wouldn't say threatened. I'm glad someone else is showing an interest in baking! Heck, I'd actually be pretty excited to meet him and share some recipes and tricks I've learned. The way I see it, cooking and baking are inherently collaborative. One is a form of art that you can not only feed other people, but takes pictures of and share around. There's a million and one food blogs about healthy and/or artistic looking dishes! Baking is much of the same. Sweet desserts or delicious pastries to give away to friends.
So no, I wouldn't say he threatens me in any way. I work hard to perfect my craft, and I'm not perfect. Maybe he's better. But I prefer to see that as a healthy challenge to meet his skill level, or an opportunity to learn from him.
Either way, booyah! ^^
Do you not fear me? Forgive my bluntness, but I could not help being curious. Every mortal with which I have ever conversed has displayed signs of adversity towards either me or my brothers. You offer to teach me in one of your arts. You are aware of what I am, are you not?
Well, it seems that you're some sort of immortal being, based on the fact that you're talking about mortals in a way that, well... signifies you aren't one. Regardless, you haven't really done anything to me, and you seem like you mean no harm, so no, I don't fear you! Who knows? Maybe in teaching you how to bake, we'll both gain a friend. And friends are good! Even potential ones.
I'm not afraid of you... but I mean, if you want me to be, then I can. :)
Among mortal pastimes, how difficult do you consider baking? I confess that it seems to be one of the more precise arts undertaken by you beings. Almost to the point I admire it.
Well, firstly, I'm honored by your almost-admiration!!
And second, to answer your question- it depends. If I'm baking a simple snack like a tray of cookies, it's just a matter of gauging times and ingredient ratios. If it's something a bit more complex, like (for me specifically) a souffle, then it takes a bit more attention. Everything has to be on point, or it won't rise correctly (or not at all!)
I'd be happy to teach you some recipes sometime! 😄
Hey Bread Boy! Glad to see you using this thing because I have a big question for you. Were you always born in Babylon or did you and your family come from somewhere else? I thought I remembered you mentioning it before, but I zoned out.
Well, firstly- good to see you too! :) I just hope you're using this ask blog thingie responsibly.
And for your question- I was not born in Babylon! I was born in a town not too far from it, though. A little town called Placeville. I was born and raised there for most of my life with my dog parents. Now here's where it gets kinda convoluted. Eventually, my dog parents' human parents had family come and visit. They were talking about opening up a bakery over in Babylon, for both humans and pets! And once I caught wind of that, I practically begged my parents to let me go to Babylon and work at that bakery. Once it was all sorted out, I packed my things and I went back to Babylon with my new parents!
Sometimes I'll visit my original family, or they'll visit me, mainly on holidays. The move was a bit hard at first, but I'm happy to call Babylon my new home.
