Random but what if dazai had loving parents and just decided to join the pm cuz he was bored of life and Hella smart and one day his parents just pop up like "osamu...when are you gonna stop telling people we abandoned you..." and he's like "Ah...so you heard about that" and they're like eyes twitching and annoyed "yea...many times...in many magazines! Thanks BTW! Christmas dinner was awkward last couple of years" 😭😭😭

(Uodate on me watching case study on vanitas that you can ignore cuz you didn't ask for it but I neeeed to talk to someone about it) I love how vanitas seems like a well rounded person with set straight ideals and motives, he seems calm and collected to other, but there's these moments with noe where he genuinely loses his temper so fast because noe sees right into him and past all the rizz flaunting and grand standing, sometimes without really meaning too, and it P*SSES vanitas off. Like him yelling at noe(paraphrasing/off top head) that he is just a chess piece in vanitas grand scheme and he can discard him, in fact he never wants to see him again. And NOE BEING THE SOUND, AND PILLAR OF- I don't even know...he's what captain America wishes he was💀and being like...nah...Noe character in this whole thing really brings this entire anime together flawlessly I'm-

Does kouyou hate/dislike dazai is that a Canon thing? (Genuine question)
the way kouyou feels about dazai can be inferred from the way she treats chuuya with such easy familiarity vs dazai with her regular coolness. being so closely intertwined with the mafia, and the fact that her own escape was thwarted, we can also assume she dislikes dazai because he left practically unscathed (he did not leave unscathed, but i don't know if she knows about odasaku). so the whole 'she DESPISES HIMMM' thing is very much fanon, but not entirely baseless yk?

Say I wanted to make a tattoo using dazai book and kunikida book, but I also wanted to add a symbol or wording at the bottom...what would you suggest? Cuz I already have a skk one, but that was relatively easier since there is a million skk symbols and works you can add to inspired tattoos of theirs...I'm just having trouble with kunizai and ALSO yosano :(
some great symbols for kunikida could be his fountain pen, the gun he uses in dazais entrance exam, or maybe a blue ribbon (for the azure messenger!) and for yosano, there's her butterfly clip, one of her favourite ~medical instruments~ (a chainsaw comes to mind for me first lol) and the dog tag with 'you are too just' written on it!! that's just off the top of my head, but i hope it helps 🥺

What are some of your favorite fantasy novels if you have any?
i do have a few!!
she who became the sun (shelley parker-chan): chinese historical fantasy; queer; 2 novels (the second is 'he who drowned the world'). literally life-changing; addictive writing style and characters you'll see the worst parts of yourself within <3
salt slow (julia armfield): short story horror/fantasy collection; magical realism; mysterious; lots of tension. i read this in a single sitting and would give anything to read it for the first time again!! once more, i'm obsessed with the writing style, it's very very addictive.
this one will ruffle some feathers, cause you either love it or hate it: the power (naomi alderman): fantasy/sci-fi; feminist; dark & fast-paced. approach this one with the knowledge that it's not meant to be an accurate depiction of what would happen if women were suddenly running the world instead of men; it's a depiction of what would happen if misandry was actually real :)
i have a bunch more fantasy recs for other media (mostly animanga lol who's surprised) but i hope this is a good start for you!!

Thoughts on Dazai and Ango? Friendship, hateship, anything.
they make my heart ache so bad, and if i'm being honest, there are no words that perfectly describe why. we have two near-preeminent characters who blame themselves and each other for the loss of one of the most important people in their lives. there's so much hatred there, but i'd argue a lot of it is projected onto the other person- they hate themselves for how things turned out with oda. oddly, they also trust each other in such a way that we don't really see in any other relationship. they make me sick your honour

Okay I know you only ship skk but I trust your judgement and I need to win an argument, so me and my friend were taking about how Akutagawa or Atsushi could've had a cute little puppy crush on dazai that obv never went anywhere cuz...not our thing, but then it got into a debate of out of Atsushi or Akutagawa who would be more dazai type? I feel like it'd been more Akutagawa, personally. My friend argues it'd be Atsushi since he's more like chuuya which yea sure but I just feel like Atsushi is like chuuya in some ways but not in the ways that dazai would probably count that idk matter? I NEED FEED BACK.

I feel a little like this question could be a trap... but I'll walk into it. first of all, the idea that Atsushi has a little crush on the entire agency makes me GIDDYYYYY he would totally be head-over-heels for all these amazing beautiful people!! same with beast akutagawa honestly... they are both just so full of love. im sick. anyway.
dazai's type... is an interesting discussion. part of me thinks he would be super picky with his partners, another part thinks he would date literally anyone who asks him out. i think atsushi and akutagawa are both rlly strong contenders, in different ways!
atsushi is very very sweet: acts of service, good morning texts, cuddles in the booth of the cafe when they're on break. part of his charm is his warmth (in personality and physically), and dazai is literally a cat, so it makes a lot of sense to me that dazai would gravitate easily towards him.
akutagawa is fiercely protective and loyal. he is prickly until you get to know him, but once he's on your side, you'll never lose him. he's dedicated and deeply admires the people he deems 'strong,' which of course includes dazai, so this works very well too!!
idk if this will settle your argument or make it worse, i'm sorry 😅 just remember that polyamory is the answer to everything!! don't be a coward, make everybody date everybody else <3

Let me just leave this here..
Chuuya getting small tattos of nicknames or dazai name perhaps drunkenly and cuz he was Madly in love and they were YOUNG, and then dazai ups and leaves without saying a word to him, now chuuya has to look at those tattoos in the mirror everyday, thinking he shouldn't have done it and even trying to humor himself like "now my next boyfriends names gotta be zai..." Before he breaks into tears-
not knowing exactly how chuuya deals with the trauma of being left behind and betrayed all the fucking time genuinely haunts me (and is like the entire reason i started writing cloudy autumn lol)
also slightly unrelated but i can never personally decide if i wanna hc chuuya with lots of tattoos or without any??? i think both could work really well!!

I think Asagiri needs to introduce Ray Bradbury and his ability should obviously be Fahrenheit 451- the ability to burn anything he chooses and what he doesn't choose will be safe(my silly idea). He should also be the leader of a group called The Firemen, is a book nerd and hates fascism. I think it'll also spice up the story. What do you think? For me, the most important reason why I want him is because I want Asagiri to create a warning against censorship since bsd is very literature centered (am I making sense?) If he was included, what kind of character would you want him to be? And what ability would you give him?
I think that'd be super duper cool (ha) for him to include if he chose to! personally if I were to choose an author I wanna see in bsd, it'd be Kurt Vonnegut or Mary Shelley (ikkkk we've got Adam Frankenstein but I need more of the queen herself PLEASEEEE)
in terms of a warning against censorship, I kind of feel like we're watching that start to unfold now?? Not only have multiple of the referenced authors had their books banned, but this arc is leaning into the what-ifs of Fyodor potentially fucking with Fukuchi's (and um LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE'S???) perception of history. I think it's worth keeping a close eye on, for sure!
