My teacher decided to take a day off before a holiday, claiming that nobody was going to class and the transit was horrible.

The catch: he didn't send a class email. Instead, he sent a message in a WhatsApp group where not everybody was in. I ended up waiting for him along with some other students and disappointingly left after I discovered he wasn't going. On top of that basically every other classroom was full of students as usual, so I didn't think he would pull off something like that.
