This is kind of silly/goofy, but I was just thinking about Scara and Childe having little traditions and games with their children. For example, when I was a child, we had this weird plastic little animal statue that we all (multiple siblings + parents) would hide randomly around the house. If you found it, you would rehide it and let the others know it was rehidden so they could research places and so the previous hider could look again. It was such a treat after a bad day to come home and find this ugly little plastic thing and rehide it. I just like to think that Chiscara could have really silly little games with their family like that.
(this is just 100% indulgent, but it makes me smile so i thought i'd put it in here lol)
I think it could be cute if Scara got along really well with Childe's siblings. Like playing games with them, sees things in store windows and buys them just because the item reminds him of them, or making sure that he and Childe always have some extra cash around holidays to spoil them (more than Childe already does of course). Maybe Childe gives the whole "hmph, why can't you be that nice to /me/?" but he's just showboating. Scara getting along with his family is everything to him. Plus... Scara's prickly side is why Childe fell in love with him in the first place. It's just fun to tease
YES THIS IS CANON
I think about this all the time. He absolutely ignores Childe completely to hang out with his little siblings when they visit his family and Childe pouts because he usually shows up with all his expensive presents and crazy stories and gets all the attention but now his boyfriend and his siblings just hang out doing crafts and chatting (talking shit about him, according to Scara, but probably not) and he's stuck bringing them snacks and stuff lol
But also I think Scara would resist the idea of meeting Childe's family and be really standoffish at first, because he was really anxious about meeting them and finding out whether he'd actually fit into Childe's life - there's no way he'd stay with anyone who didn't get along with his family, and the stakes would feel so high he'd probably get avoidant to mask the anxiety. And then an hour into the first trip, he's sitting on the floor of Teucer's room meeting all his stuffed animals and they've never talked about this at all, and Childe has never really given much thought to his life more than a year in the future since everything that happened to him as a teen, but now he's seeing how Scara might be with their kids and suddenly the future feels really, really important.
(His mom convinces him not to propose on Christmas the first time he brought him home after officially dating for like six months but he makes sure he has a ring ready after that)
If this is too unhinged, I understand and I'm so so sorry
BUT
uh
Childe makes Scara a cup of tea, but it's too sweet. So... he jerks Childe off and has him cum into his cup to get the right level of bitterness.
About the Omegaverse: fun story - before reading wioney fics I mostly ignored any omegsverse fic simply because it wasn't my type to read. I didn't saw the appeal and I wasn't curious. I knew things since my best friend looves omegaverse fics but thats it.
Then I discovered wrioney, wanted to read every fic possible and started to read them too. While some where still not completely my type, yours is one of those that made me like that trope. Because it showed how natural it can be. I didn't always liked those 'forced roles' but you write it in such a not forceful way that I easily read and loved it. Everyone is still themselves, they work with what they have but dont lose themselves in a non characteristic way. Discovered even that I like this whole trope, just took me time and the right stories to get warm with it 🥰❤️
i think one thing i really like about how you wrote a/b/o is that you considered the everyday effects of living with these second genders, treating them like a real medical condition they live with rather than purely animalistic lol 😆 i like also the way you kept their personalities intact rather than default alpha default omega personas. it feels very natural and in character
Thank you!! I worked really hard on that aspect. (I even have a silly pill container for my meds that says "Omega Suppressants" on it just to help me really inhabit the world of the story lmao). I just find the idea of secondary genders so fascinating...like I'm absolutely here for turning the horniness up to 11, but the implications of it for the rest of people's lives are fascinating. My friends make fun of me for overcommitting to Worldbuilding, but it's so much fun to dig into that stuff between sex scenes haha
Would sell my soul to read some omegaverse chiscara from you holy hell would eat up sub alpha yes yes
I love omegaverse, but I will answer this question :)
For me, your omegaverse is written in a beautiful way where you keep personalities while also getting into that desperation and horniness that omegaverse is mostly known for. If that makes sense. From what I remember, you don't have the omega turn into just a submissive wifey who just listens to their alpha and that's it. You still have them be a person who /can/ get into that headspace in heat, but it isn't their entire personality. And I really like that.
Also like that omega locking thing you did was really hot and different lol
Actually... I think I'm going to go reread your omegaverse hehehe
Ah I see! That makes sense (& I'm glad I successfully maintain their personalities haha). I think the tension between instinct and personality is far more interesting than reducing everyone to the same archetype - I'd really like to revisit my personal Omegaverse Cinematic Universe with a Chiscara fic to keep exploring all the ways that people might experience alpha- or omega-ness (sub Alpha anyone??)
Also! If you haven't seen you can now have a pretty PDF of that fic!
I'm sorry my reply doesn't count because I'm a abo whore waiting for an omega to go into heat only to read them getting pounded into next year by their alpha
What's your comfort ship and/or trope?
Oooh good question! Within the Genshin fandom I think Wrioney is my biggest comfort ship, especially to write. But Ittorou also has a special place in my heart as one of my first ships, & I have a couple Chiscara fics I reread over and over when I'm sad!
As for tropes...maybe roommate AUs? That's very similar to how my BF & I got together so I really enjoy them haha 💖
How do you get in the headspace to write Scara? I feel like he's a complex character that trying to write him is like balancing on the knife's tip, but you always do such a good job. Teach me your ways, wordsmith
This is literally the sweetest thing omg
Honestly at first I struggled a lot with both Scara and Childe. They're very complex characters in that they're made up of these seemingly completely opposite/incompatible elements - being this sweet, loving guy but also a bloodthirsty weapon; or in Scara's case, someone who (in his opinion) is above every mortal being and would do just about anything to anyone to get what he wants, but somehow also (sometimes) is so deeply kind.
If we're being super honest, I identify way more with Scaramouche, so it's possible that's why his voice comes naturally to me haha
But on a more technical level, I think it helps to keep in mind that (oddly) the core of him is just...yearning. Not in a "simp" way, but in the sense that his whole identity is crafted around this feeling of emptiness and feeling incomplete. /Everything/ has to come from there. Is he being an asshole? Well in his mind, he's missing the part of him that wants to be nice (and the part that deserves to be liked/loved - so doesn't it make sense to hurt people and push them away?).
Similarly, when he does reach the point of actually wanting to connect with someone like he does with Childe, it's overwhelming because there's this realizing that that connection will fill in the void he's been trying to fill on his own. And that's not necessarily a good thing - because if your whole identity is based on being empty and superior and unlovable, what happens when you fill that space with love from another fragile, fallible person?
...I'm not sure how much any of that made sense, but it's what's in my head when I'm writing! I go back and adjust his internal monologue quite a bit to make sure it's balanced once I've got the shape of a scene down, as well. It's really mostly instinct at some point.
Hi, Felix! I have seen a lot of takes on Harbinger Lyney, but I would love to read about your interpretation. Is he high ranking? Does he hate his position? How does he handle his personal relationships once he becomes one? Thank you in advance!
Ooh this is such a great question...I've been so focused on what he would look like that I haven't even begun to explore what he'd actually be like as a Harbinger.
I think it would take a lot of work, but he's probably just fall into the same role/rank as Arlecchino - she's grooming him so specifically, and she might even offer him up as a replacement if she wanted to retire imo.
I think he'd struggle a lot with it, as well. He'd take on the role of Father for the Hearth quite naturally; taking care of vulnerable kids would be second nature. But I think he'd have some serious reservations about the Tsaritsa and everything involved in being (essentially) one of her lieutenants. I just don't see him being able to convince himself to believe in The Cause (like Childe), or really lean into using the position for his own gain like many of the others. For him it would be a necessary evil to protect and fund the Hearth, and not much else.
Unfortunately I do believe he'd be incredible at the job. He's already got all the characteristics of a great diplomat - charisma, intelligence, the ability to read people. So I imagine he'd quickly become a favorite of the Tsaritsa and the main face/representative of the Harbingers.
As for relationships, I think Freminet and Lynette would have similar reservations. Lynette seems like she'd be more able to rationalize it all as a necessary evil to take care of the kids, though, so she'd probably be the one Lyney went to when he needed someone to reinforce that he was doing the best/only thing he could do. Ultimately it might strain things a little with Fremi, though.
Wriothesley...would get it, but absolutely hate it. He's the poster child for working within The System to fix it/make the best of it, but at the same time, being a Harbinger is on a completely different scale from being the Warden. Everything Lyney does has the potential to have a massive international impact and I think that would scare the hell out of him - especially when it could easily make Lyney a target for all sorts of plots and political intrigue.
I think the Wrioney situation would be affected by what stage their relationship was in when Lyney became a Harbinger ultimately. If it happened while they were in an established relationship, there would probably be discussion of how he might get out/Wriothesley would bring up his concerns openly and offer a counterpoint to Lynette's more pragmatic approach. But if they hadn't discussed their feelings...well I feel like I could write a horribly angsty fic about that tbh 👀 It would create such a conflict of interest and put even more distance between them...
Thank you for the prompt, thinking this through "out loud" was fun!
Yes, hahaha, poor Lynette indeed
Maybe she's just trying to study and Lyney bursts into her room, back from Wriothesley’s home, where he spent the whole weekend at, and he's mad and complaining about something Wriothesley did
Which Lynette thinks is totally ridiculous because it's not that serious
And after multiple times she's had enough and tells him to just break up and cut contacts if he can't stand Wriothesley that much
And that has Lyney sobbing and crying because he can't even imagine his life without Wrio in it
Modern wrioney who gets together in hs, they have this love story, each other's firsts ecc.
Then they break things off before Wrio graduates (he's like, a couple years older)
Flashforward Lyney starts college and unfortunately for him, the people he befriends are in the same circle as Wriothesley, so they meet again 👀 and end up in bed together
And they keep doing it
Wriothesley lives off campus in an apartment so their trists usually take place at his house
After months of it they decide to give their relationship another go
Only to break things off again
And then they sleep together again
And they keep this on and off thing they have for all the duration of college, being jealous of each other when they're not a couple, arguing when they are
I don't think they had other relationships after their very first breakup, Lyney too heartbroken at first and then focusing solely on family and school to not think about him, Wrio idk he doesn't give me the vibes of someone who has casual flings/relationships. They're very much still hung up on each other, yes
I also don't see them going with other people in their off phases, mainly because Lyney's wriosexual and Wriothesley is lyneysexual and they constantly sleep with each other anyway
So when Lyney is 25 he decides to put an end to this, and gives Wriothesley an ultimatum: either they try, seriously try to make it work, or they have to let it go for good.
It's obvious which he chose
And it's not easy and not without challenges, but it's them and it works just fine like this ❤️
Had a really cute thougt about how Wrioney would totally try to learn about each others interests. Like Lyney suddenly asking Lynette so many questions about tea and reading books about it just to know where he can find good blends in Teyvat and Wrio sitting in his office, secretly trying to learn a few magic tricks himself or trying to figure out how certain things work. Just so they can impress the other or more and showing each other they care 🥰 (if wrio succeeds in magic is a way other thing because as smart as he is, imagine him being clumsy about it is kinda funny 😂)
This is so sweet 🥺
I'm projecting here but imagine if Lyney doesn't even like tea, like he tried for Lynette but never found any he wanted to drink, but he pretends to love it for Wriothesley...who eventually figures it out and that's how he realizes Lyney is in love with him haha
Could also see Wrio doing lots of research on the mechanics of a trick Lyney and Lynette do and then ~very casually~ commenting on some detail of it to try and seem cool. Lyney finds it very endearing
What is your favorite wrioney flavor? (Tropes or whatever hehe)
From a smuttier perspective I really enjoy failed brat Lyney lol...just him coming into things with this very emotionally closed off, show-y, disinterested persona and Wriothesley completely dismantling that and leaving him an emotional, needy mess (which Wrio loves to take care of).
In general along the same lines, just the whole concept of Wriothesley taking Lyney's masks off so patiently and being as consistent and respectful (yet firm) as possible, giving him all the space he needs to learn to trust again. 🤍
