I'm sorry this took me so long to answer, my brain leaks out of my ears when I think about him being tickled. like ok, because obviously he had to stay still to win the challenge (and we know how much he loves to be the best at things) when he was tickled on stage, but when he was attacked while shooting for skoolooks he could've just walked away... but he's a good puppy, he likes getting scritches, he lives to be adored. tickling is the perfect balance of pain & pleasure, it's an overwhelming violation of boundaries that leaves you completely vulnerable to another person's mercy, yet that person uses that power only to see you laugh. that level of intense adoration must be Gunwook's wet dream tbh.

but, even though he'd want to be denied, he's not above whining and begging and trying to guilt trip Matthew into unlocking him just to be a little shit. and Matt would have a hard time not giving in to his sad puppy eyes, he's too easily swayed. he couldn't handle torturing his baby for too long (and he's impatient too) so as a compromise, Gunwook is allowed to hump Matthew's leg, painfully hard in the cage, aching for the skin-to-skin contact he can't get.

when he's finally freed, Matthew takes pity and they bonk like crazy to work through Gunwook's withdrawals induced heat. poor puppy, he had to fight so hard against his instincts, Matthew's not gonna have his hands or holes empty for a while. but like you said anon, he earned this for enduring so well ♡

Ricky&Matthew is very special to me, even not as a ship and just as a duo. I guess they're not super visible in terms of public interactions but they're huge in my heart 😭 I think it was you actually who answered something about seokrik recently, so I'll try not to be repetitive. But my favorite thing about them is how Matthew simultaneously treats Ricky like he's 5 years old, and like he's his best dudebro at the same time. You know how older brothers hype up their little siblings? Like they could just be coloring and they're like "You go little man!!! Picasso wishes!!!!!" That's Matthew to Ricky, in my eyes. He obviously respects him and thinks he's so cool, he has so much pride in him, he encourages him to speak up and always wants him to feel heard and included and appreciated, but he's not afraid to make fun of him for acting cool either lol. And Ricky's so comfortable around him for it, he lets go and plays along with his silly bits, Matthew brings out a very funny side of him. Judging from how he interacts with other members, he seems like the type to only get loud after he's close to someone.

Another one that doesn't get much camera time,, but I'm very interested in Ricky&Hanbin. Also not necessarily as a ship! Hanbin is so sweet and patient with him, and it's hilarious to me how distant they were until Hanbin figured out he can just meow at him for all the bonding they need. If I were Ricky's mom I'd be very glad that he has somebody like Hanbin in his life. Genuinely, of all Ricky ships, I think they have the biggest potential to be a healthy relationship. Hanbin could de-tsundere Ricky, I believe in it. He's so overtly affectionate, even though Ricky acts too cool for it I think he knows it melts his heart inside little by little. So cat of him.

Honestly, in writing this I realized I really have no clue how Ricky feels about anybody, I guess he's not the type to show his feelings like that. It makes me curious what his love language is, I'd guess quality time? I'm guessing from him showing Gunwook funny things on his phone and telling him about what he's daydreaming about, he likes to share things with people.

In summary, I love Ricky and I love people who love Ricky ♡u♡

my theory is that it comes from him being a virgin. LMAO. no I mean, ultimately I hc him as a virgin because I think it's hot, but it's easy to imagine because of his shyness. his shyness in general but especially how he crumbles when touched, or when he makes eye contact, or when someone does something sexy. and it's this shyness COMBINED WITH how much he himself wants to be seen as sexy, and how much he revels in that attention even though he goes red as a tomato, that leads me to easily believe he's a pent-up nervous virgin that's faking it til he makes it. I feel like once you're sexually active that excitement goes away a little? but he's still out here on bbl live as the physical manifestation of erping in an aol chatroom so, there's my theory.

I LOVE that. I'm going to make this weird and a little too intense, is that okay? Ok, the existential dread of a monster transformation is so yummy. It's very easily applied as a metaphor for anxieties surrounding stuff like puberty and changes in personality/priorities as you get older and grappling with gender/sexuality identity, many things, but it can be played as straight-up stomach churning body horror too and I'm a rather big fan of that as well.

Let's run with Gunwook as the one transforming, like you said, bcs I think he suits the themes, specifically those surrounding fears of growing up and now that alters people's perception of you. Hm, does he know what's happening or no? Either way he'll be undergoing changes he doesn't understand. Even if he thinks he knows what to expect, there's no way to prepare yourself for what it really feels like to have your nails fall off and claws slowly erupt like wisdom teeth in their place. No one could ever tell you how it'll feel when you start losing control of your mind to new animalistic instincts, how it'll feel when you unknowingly speak your last words to the man you love and how you'll pray he won't hate you all while knowing you wouldn't be able to blame him if he did.

But Matthew would never leave him, no matter what, even if it means keeping him locked away so he can't get himself or anybody else hurt. He'll keep him comfortable, bring him food and water, sing to him from outside the room and tell himself that Gunwook snarling along to the melody means deep down he knows he's still loved. He'll always be his baby.

ilu great question, I've thought about this a bit actually. Though I've tried I've never been able to see a jealous bone in Matt's body. I think he's the type to want to show off (e.g. all the public PDA) but not to gatekeep. Partially because ngl he does have intensely polyamorous vibes to me, but also because he seems like he'd be very secure in his relationships. He knows Gunwook is obsessed with him, he does notttt have to worry about anyone taking him. 😭

Speaking of, Gunwook, on the other hand, has terrorial aggression like a Chihuahua with a ritzy bone. He's young, Matthew would most likely be his first serious relationship, he doesn't know HOW the hell to act. I think this manifests in his clinginess, although it's not the only reason for it, and his ability to bring Matthew up in every conversation whether it's relevant or not (it's not.) He wants to stake claim, he needs to prove he's a good bf in a weirdly competitive way that most people grow out of eventually, sorry to say but it's puppylove.

So, to answer uh, in a situation: if by some twisted act of God, Gunwook did something to make Matthew jealous, I think he'd address those feelings within himself first and then sit Gunwook down to talk about it. I don't think he'd want to let it fester uncommunicated. If Matthew made Gunwook jealous, I think he'd blame himself and feel guilty for reading into things too much or for thinking like he owns him, and so he wouldn't say anything about it until he eventually boils over and tearfully apologizes to a very confused Seok Matthew. He'll reassure him of course but I don't see Gunwook calming down until a few years down the line at least, maybe after they get engaged he'll think "hm, maybe I'm safe."

Sorry, I had to take a nap for this one. In answering this, I had to draft the outline to make sense of how to assign the roles, so, if I'm ever in a dark enough place to write this, I'm Prepared. Spoilers for The Quarry below, assignments are based more on story beats than personality.

Emma (deceptively sweet populargirl vlogger, Jacob's ex gf) - Ricky. Has to break out of his shell and relinquish the need to be perfect all the time. Dumped Gyuvin (Jacob) because he's moving away after the Summer, but changes his mind when they might not make it through the night.

Jacob (himbo, funnyguy, simp for Emma) - Gyuvin. Not yet over Ricky, clings to him and begs for pussy. Brings a goofy vibe to the party that is so insecure, all bark no bite

Dylan (theater kid energy) - Park Hanbin. Flirts with Taerae (Ryan) who he assumes is oblivious. Has the most random talents. Including the uncanny ability to compartmentalize the absolute worst shit, and he will be going through it, trust me.

Ryan (autistic king) - Taerae. Knows Hanbin likes him, pretends he doesn't notice because not only is he closeted but emotionally unavailable as well. Forced to be a little available, at least for a moment.

Abigail (shy art girl, likes Nick) - Matthew.. they're not alike At All, but in terms of storyline I want him to be the one crushing on and caring for Gunwook (Nick), who he initially thinks is sick. And well, he is, in a way

Nick (awkward jock, likes Abi) - Gunwook. mostly because I would like for him to be the first to turn and in the process traumatize Matthew forever.

other:
Laura (werewolf hunter, badass, secret werewolf) - Zhang Hao. Was going to study to be a veterinarian after graduation, but got interrupted by the whole being kidnapped by a rogue sheriff after his bf turned into a werewolf thing. Infected by bf. Vows to break the curse.

Max (Laura's bf, werewolf, himbo) - Sung Hanbin. Would appear only as a wolf :( but hopefully Hao's undying love for him is enough

Silas, the white wolf (patient zero wolf, the curse of werewolfdom would be lifted from everybody if he's killed) - Yunseo? I can see him having the vibes of a wandering barefoot child, son of the circus, and I think he's pretty and I would like to write his tragic yet beautiful fated death :)

other characters are up for grabs depending on if there ended up being a place for them in the story or not. I hope these summaries are comprehensible for people who haven't played the game 😵‍💫✌️🫶

oh, Gladly. it's less that he's his type, and more that he's accidentally set a standard with his own image that's nigh impossible for anyone else to reach. I'm talking aro autosexual Ricky here... I mean, have you seen the way he looks at himself? the way he watches his face through the screen on lives and adjusts his expressions to serve harder, that is for his own personal satisfaction. and I'm sure they're exaggerating but his members really harp on how much time he spends in front of the mirror. I mean, he's meticulously crafted his image to suit his tastes, why shouldn't he stare? how could he do anything BUT stare?

there's a certain type of person whose goal aesthetic is that of what they're most attracted to. I briefly went through a bimbo phase due to this phenomenon, and while I'm not saying Ricky is a bimbo I am saying that this experience is what I see in him. he thinks he's hot because he's purposefully made himself that way. he would kiss himself with tongue with the same pride an artist frames a painting.

he'd 100% be the guy fighting for his life in a 'would you bang your clone' discussion. I think the biggest draw for him would be the opportunity to practice and experiment without judgement. whatever weird stuff he'd want to try, well, the other Gunwook would also want to try it. and he wouldn't have to worry about touching him the wrong way or hurting him because he (for the most part) already knows his limits and how & where he likes to be touched. I do wonder if he'd be his own type tho........ he cares a lot about his image but he doesn't strike me as someone who's actually attracted to himself, unlike Ricky for example, so I think he'd be more into the utilitarian aspect as opposed to the self-love aspect
