Not generally, but I do like a Western. It's Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man. I like it almost entirely for the music, but even without the music I think it's worth watching at least once because it's uniquely weird.

Not really. But "There Will Be Blood" was great, "True Grit" and "The Assisination of Jesse James" were pretty good also.

I've heard good things about "Ain't Them Body Saints" and "Bone Tomahawk".

I only know modern western. If you want, give "Hostiles" a chance. Starring Christian Bale.
