Honestly speaking, (They Long To Be) Close To You by Carpenters has become my song of the year for the past four years.
I barely watch movies but if I could associate myself with book characters, I would associate myself with any characters from Emily Henry’s books. My narcissistic self kept telling me that she wrote those books made for me, cries. Particularly Nora Stephens from Book Lovers., and Harriet Kilpatrick from Happy Place. I mean, they appear calm and organised outwardly, which is similar to how I characterise myself at times. Moreover, I used to relate to January Andrews from Beach Read. . . Gosh. I believe, that if someone wants to know me better, just go straight to the Library or Bookshop and purchase Emily Henry’s books.
Ah! I genuinely wish that I could wash my brain to watch Dead Poets Society (1989) and Vivre sa vie (1962) for the first time.
I understand that you're a book lover, but I noticed that you read classics only occasionally. I wonder why that is?
I’m the type of person who believes that some books need to be read at a specific moment. I mean, somehow I don’t want to force my feelings to read some books when I don’t feel like it, and in the end, I just need a perfect moment. The same thing didn’t just happen when I read classic books. Some time ago, I read more self-help books. The following month, I read more Indonesian’ historical fiction. Then, once again this month, the desire to read new classics appeared. So, in order to wrap up this chilly year, I feel like reading some classic literature.
I quote from Daniel Pennac’s book entitled, The Rights of the Reader, — “Reading cannot be forced, just like falling in love or dreaming.”
What type of guy do you like?
hi my gorgeous lady🌹can you suggest me a light romance book? i started reading again (I've been in reading slump for years idk) i am currently reading the love hypothesis. any thoughts about that title? 🍒
Hello there, lovely being! My apologies for the tardiness in responding to this inquiry. One month has passed but let me make a reply to this one, ya? Speaking of The Love Hypothesis, I personally don’t really enjoy reading it but overall it was a light read with a cutie love story, and the plot ( Adam Carlsen ) is fantastic, aha! Again, that book was OK but sadly the ending was kinda unsatisfying for my liking. I believe you already finished that book, so care to tell me your opinion? Moreover, if you had a part in a reading slump phase before, is the book to get you up from there or? OH! For the first question, since you mentioned The Love Hypothesis, I recommend you to check The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang., The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas., Marriage for One by Ella Maise., and You Had Me at Hola by Alexis Daria. Although those books are easy to read, they have occasionally made me blush.
Claud, recommend your easy-read books! 😁
Hey! Well, If you looking for something light slash easy read, you must kindly check Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto., Ms Ice Sandwich by Mieko Kawakami., Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto., also Love from A to Z by S.K Ali., for halal romance. *cough.
Kak Clau, what app do you usually use to read? Hihihi.
Hello, hello! If this question refers to Apps for e-book reading, I mainly use Libby, Kindle, and Gramedia Digital for Indonesian books. But, if what you mean is Apps for digital reading journals, I’m using StoryGraph, Nation, and Turn.
Au this is abang (Liam), give me 4/5 books when you think of me.
• Normal People, by Sally Rooney. ( duh, no need to ask. )
• Beautiful Words, Where Are You, by Sally Rooney. ( at this point whenever I think of SR, my mind goes to you. )
• Beach Read, by Emily Henry. ( We kept talking about January and Gus whenever we had a chance. )
• Once There Were Wolves, by Charlotte McConaghy ( You recommended this one but I haven’t read it, aha! )
what to do malam minggu begini
I’m about to continue my reading but suddenly feel so sleepy. Any idea how to make myself stay awake, buddy?
Mangga adalah jawaban dari Punten ( ytta ), hahaha.
Au whats your best book so far?
Hm, I think my best book goes to Happy Place by Emily Henry. Please come to me directly if you feel curious with my thoughts on that book, wink wonk.
Hii. Happy weekend, pretty Mami! <3
It has been a month later, but I’m still wishing you a peaceful weekend. May this weekend treat you well, please pamper yourself with something nice as you deserve, Dear. 🤍
Hmm, I’ve been planning to continue reading because I have nothing planned for Saturday and haven’t had enough time to read this week. But, because I didn't get enough sleep last night, I spent most of today dozing. . . Yawn. Let us hope that tomorrow goes as planned! Fingers crossed. How is it with you, Archie? Got any plans this weekend? Anyway, happy weekend! XO.
Mami! 2023 is about to meet the end. What's your plan for the rest 3 months ahead? Mind to share with me (to us). Richard sayang mami, btw!
Ah! Time flies really fast and it’s already three months before the year ends, cries. Actually, I have a lot of plans that I wish to implement gradually. Above all, I want what I am creating now to be incredible enough that there will be no regrets about not being able to make it happen. This may sound cliche, but whatever it takes, I want to be useful to those around me so that the impression I leave this year will be positive. Bismillah, manifesting my desires is that I do not have to settle for anything less than what I truly want. Mami juga sayang Richie, 🤍. Please be happy and well, Icad! Mwah.
