Anybody else feeling depressed about the sheer amount of stupidity in the population that this virus has exposed?

Everything about it is depressing but situations like this show you what people are really like

I don't think people are stupid necessarily... our brains are wired to take shortcuts to process things and draw conclusions as fast as possible, the larger problem is assholes and psychopaths who know how to use our wiring against us for fun and profit

And here in America there is a while group of people who have the attitude of "I'll do what I want. It's not the governments place to stop me from going out"

I already felt that way shortly after the 2016 election. Honestly had no idea the country was THAT retarded. Wasn't the least bit surprised to hear a bunch of college bros went on ahead with Spring Break festivities.

A little sad about the stupidity implied by the toilet paper hoarding, but tbh I'm more sad about just observing how people, for example, aren't even smart enough to use the English language properly or to make valid arguments, and that has nothing to do with the virus. It's just something I've been noticing a little bit more of lately for whatever reason.
