If you're on Tik Tok, I bet you have seen those NPC lives because they seem so trendy now...what are your thoughts about them? Is this what people who developed the new technologies, internet and social media had in mind when they started it all. Is this meant to be human evolution? Please, let me know.

I would have to ask the creator of the internet. But I doubt this was their intention for it.

Seems like a fetish thing, but fortunately there are people 'doing it ironically' which may either make it mainstream or go away.

Tik Tok is not something I've delved into very much. I'd say it's more of a de-evolution than anything else. Social media I think was developed to spy on people. You have people including myself willing giving away our location every time we post. As far as the show offs on there. That's human nature I suppose. We've always enjoyed showing off for 1000 yrs. It's just digital now😁

The fun did last a couple of minutes for me before it became boring and stupid. As I am the proverbial NPC as far as playing games isn't my source of fun I admit the trend is on the same level as sniffing deodorant spray until you faint and win a challenge by this. Human evolution now seems to be to get into the top ranks of the Darwin Awards asap and stay there. Phew. These people are cringe.

Every streaming platform is now pretty gamified, with donations and incentives to do so, and some people figured out how to use that in the most efficient way.

Of course, the reasons go a little deeper than that, but I don't have time nor brains to explain.
