Ads starting like this." YOU won't believe th..." They are right I didn't believe it and cut it off. Ads starting like:" You must..!" Nope. I do not. Is the art of advertising now a sewage of language aimed at the silly? Has never been better, eh?

I can honestly say,(knock on wood) that i have never been swayed by an advertisement

Yeah they teach this kinda stuff to MBAs - or hell, even just in a first year writing class - your opening sentence is to grab attention - whether it's true or not is secondary it seems

I once read somewhere that advertisements were way better and actually rational in the past, but they realized weird catchy phrases sold more and stuck with that.

Pretty much, yeah!! Maybe they're really struggling to get people's attention lately and so they're turning to clickbait methods and stuff.
