I mean a box of raisins and a half a gallon of milk will run you up 12 dollars. In this economy every meal is expensive 😂

I suppose it would be a fillet steak dinner. its maybe a bi-annual treat though.

Now and then we go out dining in a fancy restaurant when we feel like it and can afford it. Depending on their changing menu we usually choose a three course meal. But it has never the same dishes. My partner is French and so she has a good knowledge of cooking and dishes and what method of preparation makes the best of the ingredients at least from the perspective of the French Cuisine. So we have some style and some appetite and enjoy many things. It is not cheap and we cannot afford to do it often but we compensate that by having the maximum joy while we're at it.

Scallops, maybe. Or no...not that, one of my favorite meals ever is beef ribs cooked all day with barbecue sauce 'til they're practically falling off the bone. That stuff is expensive, so we rarely have it.
