Yes, several. It's no fun, but it's probably still better than getting a cavity filled or a root canal and crown put in. The last time I only got one side done, I forget what happened where I didn't get the other done, but when they were going to do it years later, there was some problem with the insurance. Then I went back a while later and they tried again, saying they'd call me when the insurance clears to make an appointment, and they never called me. And I'm not paying $400 out of pocket for something that's probably not even necessary anyway. So it looks like I won't be getting any more deep cleanings done.
I have. There was a period where I had no dental insurance in my 20s and had to have one after finally being insured. I recommend that you get a basic cleaning at least 2xs a year, purchase an electric toothbrush, brush at least 2xs daily, and floss (or get a water pick) at least once. Maybe purchase some mouth wash such as Listerine to keep the bacteria at bay. Some of us just need a little more care than others due to the bacterial cultures we harbor in our mouths. Much easier than having to endure deep cleanings
yeah
Yes. Once a year. There is a profession under the name of dental assistant who do it. Insurance pays for that once a year as it helps preventing loss of teeth (which is much more costly). It usually does cost around €100 and takes almost an hour of work and pro equipment.
