What's the best treatment for a infected abscess?

Ask your doc! From my nurse years I know there are different ways of treatment and which one fits best depends on the state of infection. However waiting is NOT an option. It potentially could lead to blood poisoning by bacteria and a cruel death.

I'm no doctor, but I reckon draining the abscess and going on a course of antibiotics would be sensible. Get yourself to the GP :)

If it's too big and is there for too long, you might need surgery. If it's just acne then I don't know.

I got no home remedies for you if that's what you're looking for, antibiotics might be the way to go, and if you're left with a 'hole' where the infection wound was, they will probably wanna pack that in with gauze or something for a while until healthy tissue can grow back, guess that depends on where it is, too

antibiotics

which one depends on what organism(s) you have growing in it, which can be determined by a culture your doctor can obtain with a swab or aspirate of the abscess
