I lost track when I stopped playing games. When they switched from games to online games it was a no-go for me.

I believe there is a place for everything - unfortunately there is Fortnite Syndrome rampant in the industry, where the publishers will see something (like Fortnite) succeed and then EVERY game has to have multiplayer and/or battle royale in it or it won't get greenlit - THAT is the bad path I fear we go down on the regular

My only gripe is why is every damn game a FPS? Why?! Whatever happened to racing games as a genre?

I think you ought to be able to buy a game and own it forever, not buy it and play it for as long as the company's internet servers remain up..
