Is the truth always in the middle?

Of course not. The truth is where the truth is. the people arrange themselves around it. Earth is not flat, Sun is the center of solar system, capitalism is ethically inexcusable on christian values.
The position of people around the truth is irrelevant.

The truth has no spatial geometry of any sorts, it can be measured by non geometrical measures only. And many truths are not of the binary type. Some exist in shades of grey.

Contrary to Republican belief the truth isn't always "subjective" or a 50/50 argument that's equal in validity.

Like in between Flat Earth Theory and Round Earth Theory? Or the middle between Christianity and Science?

No. This is why I dislike when people assume the middle way is the most truthful or at least best-balanced (such as centrism in politics) in general.
