What's the best way to stop russia?

Tell nato to leave Ukraine and make countries surrounding Russia neutral and disarmed.

Option 1: Have Ukraine sign into the EU and Nato and then start world war 3. Option 2: Sanction them into a position where they are ostricised by the western world, in the meantime support Ukraine and Russian rebels to Putins cause and highlight the damage he is causing - then hope the rebel force is enough to put an end to the rule, then if the replacing leader is supportive of non-agression, lift the sanctions.

I don't know but I think the first step is to stop treating dictatorships like normal countries.

Wrong question I think. There is no unity in Russia about this war. So to speak of Russia makes it look as if a nation is attacking a nation. This is not the case here. So a better question would be: How to stop Putin and his comrades?

The best way, if feasible, is to turn Russia against itself. Make it unstable, forcing change from within.

Otherwise, prepare NATO borders, and isolate Russia economically - wary of the risk that we might provoke a new axis of evil of Russia, China, Iran, etc

The time to stop Russia was at least 8 years ago.

But now that we're here, we need to do more than finger wagging. I reckon troops will be sent into neighbouring Nato nations.
