There may be reparations for slavery for these things? No option for opting out of participation, I take it..
I thought he survived but last I heard, one of the sons said he was paralyzed.
i watched the video and i do not think it was justified in the slightest. he shot Jacob Blake in the back 7 times at point blank range on the alleged suspicion that he was reaching for a weapon. i've seen cracker bitches with actual weapons in their hands just get a talking to from the police.
I just read about it. I don't know what he was guilty of, other than being on his ex-girlfriend's premises or something like that where he was unwelcome. Even if he was guilty of something worse, it's not the police's job to be judge, jury and executioner. Though apparently they'd already tased him and he opened his car.. I guess they feared he was going to pull a gun out? Seems rather speculative on the part of the officer though. And it's obvious that in general police officers in the US are way too trigger-happy.

I don't think police should be able to shoot you for trying to get away, and I think they legally can't. I hope this officer gets fired and maybe even goes to prison.
I have heared arguments about that and if people would and could use those arguments in daily life, and given that anybody is/could be armed, the streets would be full with dead people, especially politicians and law enforcement staff. So it must be a lunatic argument used by those who define whats right or wrong from a racist perspective.
A police force is a reflection of the society it 'serves', and it's been clear for at least decades that the occasional person tossed into the grinder and made into bratwurst for dumb/psychotic preventable reasons is no biggie, companies cut corners, medical insurance denies claims, governments write shitty policy, and so it is with cops - property and profit matter more than any one human's life - I don't even get that mad at cops anymore, even if they are fucking psychotic. I don't get mad at the dog, I am mad AF at the assholes who's holding the leash, fuck these busted ass governments and their shitty policy and when the mob with the torches shows up at the mayor/governor/president's house they will deserve whatever they get
