What's your favorite science fiction novel? Ever read the Dune series?

I don’t think I’ve ever read any science fiction novels. It’s not my thing. I’ve seen the film. I know it’s terrible compared to the novels. I read something about the film being made. The studio hated it and made the director cut an hour out of the middle of it - hence it’s difficult to follow. The director cried.

I don't know, I haven't read science fiction since I was a kid. I remember I liked Ben Bova. Don't remember why or what he wrote.

I’m not a fan of sci fi. I think it’s probably my least favorite genre.

I've read the first Dune for a philosophy class when I was in high school. I was supposed to write a paper about how it represented a naturalist worldview. I still don't know if that's really what it did

Yep, I've read Dune. My favourite fiction novel though is by Stanislaw Lem: Solaris. Though the book has little to do with both movies that borrowed from it.
