Dealer of lulaw filth and fluff. I never shut up about my aus. It’s a real dilemma.

May I ask what your plans are for In the sultry summer calm? :3 I love that fic <3
I swear I plan on finishing it!! I hate the idea of leaving something unfinished. It’s just not highest priority on my list rn. There’s a couple fics I have to write with deadlines, so I’m trying to concentrate on those. But once they’re done, I will get back to in the sultry summer calm. 🥲
Unless by plans you mean plot wise…in that case: SPOILERS I GUESS. Although subject to change!
There’s meeting one or two of the pack, visiting luffys community center, maybe meet a couple more of the pack, get close enough to know they’re good people but not too close, because then it’s a fight and then a party and an unexpected heat, and THEN really getting to know the pack, and them immediately making laws life better without him even having to ask for help.
After his heat is over, he has a lot to thank them for. But that’ll have to wait until the fight is resolved and they make up in the back room of the flower shop but that’s a while nother thing….where was I going with this. Ah well that’s pretty much all I got rn anyways. I’ve been playing with the idea of some sort of festival through their downtown just so I can use it as an excuse to put law in a flower crown. I’ll figure that out when I get there.
It’s all still very up in the air. OH BUT there are cute dates and courting gifts sprinkled throughout ✌️
I love your lulaw omegaverse autobody shop threads! 😭❤️
What's your fav trope? And what trope do you like to write the most with lulaw?
I’m never sure what counts as a trope or an au;; but omegaverse is an obvious answer to both. So I’ll say besides it, I love soulmate tropes, like soulmarks or the seeing colors for the first time take on it. Soulmates makes for good angst with such sweet happy endings. As for lulaw, I actually prefer writing cute fluffy things for them believe it or not, and anything supernatural would be my favorite kinda trope for them. I like giving them a bit of a magical twist.
Thank you so much for posting the little snippet of in the sultry summer calm 🥹💕✨️
Yes, the question was about in the sultry summer calm 😭 I love it so much, but I also don't want to make you feel worse about not updating it aaaahhh!!
Are you an author who likes getting questions like "are you still writing story XYZ?" because it motivates you, or are you someone who doesn't want to hear it at all because it puts pressure on you? (I know both kinds of authors!)
Kinda both? Like I always feel bad making people wait a long time so it would put more pressure on me. But also I like knowing which ideas people like the most or want to see more of because I have SO MANY ideas and aus sometimes I get overwhelmed trying to decide which one to work on. So knowing what y’all want would give me an idea of what to lean towards at least.
I guess I can say I don’t mind if you ask. 😌
Is it in the sultry summer calm? 😭 can you believe it’s been almost a year since I updated that one??? A YEAR. 💔
Hi, I think you're a super cool and fun person and I love talking to you 🌸 Have a nice day!
Do you have a kofi or something so we can bribe you to write more 👀
Not to be too demanding, but can we have a thread of threads when you have the time? 🛐🛐🛐 as always drink water and stay fresh
Alteeee elderberry whiskers 🥺🥺🥺 moar co- i meam, luffy needs warm- HAHAHA but pls more lore? Love ya
👀 I see you. I’ll take any excuse to write Luffy being warmed.
But as for lore, I’m not sure what kind you want, so I think I’ll use this as an opportunity to flesh out Luffy’s background. Since I haven’t given it much thought beyond “he grew up in the woods with his brothers 🤷♀️”
If you ask him, Luffy would have no recollection of his life before he ended up in the Grand Woods. He has a vague idea of how his brothers arrived there (one’s a runaway, the other abandoned, left to die) but all he knows of himself is a blurry memory of someone with a gruff voice calling his name, desperate, afraid. He’ll never forget the fear and worry in that voice, or the pain of the tight hold on him, silently dragging him away. Everything went dark when he tried to call back, to who he doesn’t remember. He was so young.
When he came to, he was in the Grand Woods, not that he knew that then. The sight of bodies greeted him, and he panicked. No idea what happened, who did it, where they were— if they’d come back and kill him too.
Instinctively, he tried to move, to run, and that’s when he noticed the ropes that bound him had been torn. Shredded, left in many fraying short threads.
Taking his chance, Luffy ran as far and fast as his little legs could take him and left everything behind him. But it didn’t take long for him to get lost in the vast woods. When the terror of the situation set in, he curled up under a large tree and cried.
He doesn’t know how long he was there, but some time later, when he was still whimpering, he heard a young voice, “what’re you crying for? And what the hell is a baby like you doing out here?”
And that’s how he met the black and orange furred cat familiar Ace. Unfortunately, Ace looked unimpressed, annoyed by him, but Luffy clung to him, scared of being alone in those woods any longer. Ace reluctantly let him follow him back to where he lived with another young cat familiar named Sabo, this one with yellow fur.
Given time and a lot of effort on Luffy’s part, the three became close and called each other brother. They lived in an abandoned cabin Ace had found deep in the woods and rarely ever interacted with any other person as they had everything they thought they needed.
But as they got older, they got antsy, and all three agreed they should go and explore the world they’ve seen so little of. The problem with that is both Ace and Luffy had conquerors magic manifest, so they had the fear of evil witches trapping them in permanent contracts drilled into them.
Still, Ace claimed he wasn’t afraid and knew better anyways. So when he turned 17, he left. Luffy missed him terribly, but Sabo did whatever he could to comfort him. At least, until it was Sabo who wanted to leave.
Luffy told him to go on, that he’ll be fine on his own. He knows everything he needs to know. He’ll be okay. So with many promises of returning (just like Ace,) Sabo left home. And Luffy was alone.
The thought of leaving when he turns a couple years older crossed his mind, but he promised his brothers he’d be careful. And to be honest, he knows he trusts too easily, and that their concern isn’t without reason. He doesn’t know what he’d do if he screwed up and lost his freedom to a witch.
So he passed his days exploring the woods, deeper and deeper by the day. They became his domain. He learned them, memorized landmarks and pools and tree groves, all of it like the back of his hand.
And if anyone were to wander into the woods, he’d know. The breeze whispers in his ears if they’re trouble or harmless. Anyone who tries to doing any damage to the woods or is up to no good, he scared away, shifting into a huge horrifying monster to frighten them. If they are harmless, he only checks them out if the fancy strikes him, but usually then he just leaves them be.
That’s why the woods have the reputation of being full of monsters (his brothers were guilty of doing the same thing in the past) and only other familiars and strong witches enter it.
And why he never ran into a certain healer witch. He’d know when he crossed the river into the woods, but Luffy learned his magic and found no ill will. So he just let him do whatever and never sought him out. Now, he wishes he had found him sooner.
Long story short: little Luffy got taken by familiar traffickers while in an unknown town with his grandpa. But someone killed them and freed him. Then Ace found him and took him home like a stray. He got two whole brothers, but then they left. But it’s okay! Luffy’s gonna just explore the woods until he meets a cute witch.
Fun fact: Luffy is what might be considered a “feral familiar” until he gets more or less tamed by Law. He avoids town and people.
If there’s anything you want me to elaborate on, or if you meant for lore about something else, please ask. 🥺
Nice new profile pic. I was a bit confused at first and had to go through your Twitter to know who you are XD. Still nice new profile pic.
and then there's the 'ask' thing, if your old pic hadn't been left there, I wouldn't have dealt with it at all and simply said hello to an interesting person who likes lulaw.
Love you bye
Do you think you might pick up your Cow Law AU again? I keep thinking about Law being presented at the show and Luffy coming to sample the goods. Please, help me. I'm severely calcium deficient.
Ahh! Yes absolutely! I’ve had a chunk of something written for it for a while now. But I kinda realized it’s a scenario that would be in like the middle of the au, so anyone who hasn’t seen my threads won’t know the full context. So I’m gonna have to rework it to make it more of a standalone. And I do plan on starting from the beginning someday!!
I have a very bad habit of picking and writing certain scenes. Why can’t I learn to just start at the beginning 😭
In the meantime, maybe give yumis fic a shot? I haven’t read it yet because work but maybe it can hold you over?
What is one thing that gets you seething when your friend/SO does that particular thing?
Hmmm no significant other so I’ll have to go with friend.
I can have a bit of a short temper so a lot of things annoy me. I’m trying to think if anything stands out. But I mostly have a bunch of little pet peeves. I don’t know if anything makes me seethe. Unless I like catch them in a lie or something. Sorry if that’s a boring answer 😓
do you have a chart or anything with the whole hierarchy of gods and cupids and other beings?
I do not have a chart, but now I kinda want to make one.
I’ll explain what I have hashed out as far as the hierarchy the best I can. I have a tendency to ramble, so apologies ahead of time 🥲
Gods are ranked not by age or wisdom but by their usefulness, how needed they are. If a god reigns over something completely out of the control of mortals, they are considered high gods. If a god reigns over something mortals can manipulate or create or control on their own, they’re considered lower gods.
The sun god is a high god because mortals cannot control the sun. The goddess of beauty and fertility is an interesting and complex high god. While mortals can create and control beauty, they have no control over natural beauty or of the ability to conceive or grow. If the goddess chooses to make someone infertile, they cannot go against her. Off subject but fun fact, she allows mortals to conceive whenever it lands. If they plan it or don’t plan it, either way she usually doesn’t intervene. It would be impossible to keep up with. But for immortals, they typically do have to get her blessing because it’s serious for immortals, especially gods, to reproduce. Thankfully, she’s surprisingly generous most of the time. Another high god is the nothing god. He is the god of nothing. Nothing being the dark, vast spaces of emptiness or the dark side of the sun.
They don’t get along. He’s kind of a dick.
Also high gods who are not only necessary for the good of both realms but also hold the kind of power that could doom them completely are considered the highest, most powerful and well respected gods, like the sun god.
The god of love is actually a lower god. Because while he does spread and create love for everyone, especially the mortals, he doesn’t have the ability to stop anyone from loving. Mortal or immortal, anyone is capable of feeling at least one type of love without his help or intervention. That being said, like all gods, his work is still highly important. He’s the guiding hand that gently pushes mortals towards their happiness.
So, the more necessary a god’s work is, the higher their ranking. If that makes sense.
Below gods are the lesser immortals. Lesser immortals are those who haven’t achieved godhood and instead work for the gods. Most gods refer to them as servants or workers, but some like to give them special names, like the god of love’s cupids and the sun god’s nakama. Lesser immortals can actually become gods if they become powerful enough or excel in something or are deemed the heir to another god’s title. (Gods can retire, who knew?) For instance, one of the nakama has been offered the role of the god of steel and forges’ fires multiple times, but he always turns it down saying he prefers to continue serving the sun god. He also claims the title is too long and doesn’t even make sense. The current god of steel and forges’ fires is not amused and just wants to retire and live a peaceful rest of eternity already.
Anyways, lesser immortals are considered a sort of lower class because of their status as workers and servants. They fall under three categories: natural born, turned, and demigods. Natural born lesser immortals are usually biological children of the gods. Which is why they’re actually a small percentage of the lessers. The gods in question would have to be granted a blessing to have a child. Then, either the child will choose which parent to work for or the parents will decide for them. Natural born lesser immortals are treated fairly well as they are children of gods. Almost as well as lower gods are treated.
Demigods however get awful treatment. They are the children of a god and a mortal, usually born from mortal women. They are most commonly disowned or banished to the mortal realm. Lesser immortals can also have children with mortals. They will receive similar poor treatment if not worse.
But the lowest form of immortal is the turned immortal. Turned immortals are those who were born mortal but at some point in time, made a deal with a god for unending life. The deal is usually along the lines of agreeing to work for them in exchange for immortality. When a mortal is turned, they forget their mortal life entirely, but they are given a new life. Unfortunately, their status as being turned is the reason some gods refer to them as “fake immortals” or “imposter immortals” and look down on them as if they’re not worthy of so much as entering the immortal realm. But as there are so few natural born lesser immortals, even those who despise turned immortals are forced to have them work for them. There may or may not be turneds dealing with abuse from their gods. Those who work for gods who genuinely care for them are considered lucky. Those who are cared for and work for high gods are the luckiest turneds because they are protected by their gods and their ranking.
So in terms of lesser immortals, the tier from most decently treated to worst is: natural born, demigod, turned. Demigod is only higher than turned because being banished to the mortal realm grants them the mercy of not being a slave to a god. Only the turned of a high god might be treated better than them, overall.
Also, as it’s relevant, lesser immortals are more or less forbidden from speaking to or approaching any god that is not theirs unless given permission or in case of an emergency or something similar. Breaking this social norm would have terrible consequences for the lesser immortal. The worse the situation, the worse the outcome. If they simply speak out of place, they will be scolded and berated and insulted publicly. If they disrespect a god, they will be dragged away and punished. If they become too friendly with a god, if they somehow seem to think they’re equal to or special to a god, they will be taken and reminded of their place. Their punishment ranges from social scorn to violent beatings and imprisonment.
There isn’t much to say about mortals. They are simply everyday humans going about their everyday lives. Unaware of the immortals that walk among them.
To summarize, high gods are the highest beings followed by lower gods followed by natural born lesser immortals followed by demigods followed by turned immortals followed by mortals.
If something about this doesn’t make sense or contradicts, let me know and I’ll try to clear it up. Sorry for writing an essay 😓
is there any info you can give about omegaverse/casino Luffy that you haven't yet or that might not actually come up in the thread?
Ohhhh. Let me think. I don’t plan on specifying who his dad is, but you can guess I mean crocodile lmao. He doesn’t actually enjoy gambling or anything like that. Growing up around it made it too mundane too every day. He prefers to be out exploring the city, but he still has his own personal lounge/booth in the casino to use as a hangout spot for him and his friends. Also I haven’t stated, but I imagine he’s a tad older for the sake of the au, maybe 22? Broad but still barely shorter than Law.
I could write on this forever, but I have to go to work. So I’m stopping myself here. 😔
