Why does every smartphone nowadays have more than two cameras?

Well front and back make sense to me, as do lenses with different capabilities... this certainly makes more sense than why my razor needs 5 blades on it.

You gotta have one on you while you are Zooming and can still use your screen, and then one facing the other way so you can record the subway brawl (landscape not portrait pls) and then one for the panoramic shot of the family of rats carrying away a meatball hero

A front facing for selfies and a rear facing for shooting the environment and a third one to improve picture quality. It is overkill but those cams are tiny and therefore limited in optical performance but relatively cheap.
