I think my boss is on the verge of burning out. She's tough and energetic but has too much things to deal with both professionally and personally. What should I do?

Help her out, perhaps! Do you think you could get a promotion? I don't know what kind of job this is, but if you could take on more responsibility it might help her.

You might address the state of alert of hers when you talk to each other. Just make her aware that you are seeing that stae and do worry. Do not try to point out that it is damaging or hurting. Just make her aware that people around her take care. But this might only work or be appropriate when you have some sort of personal connection that is a bit better than just between boss and employee. When things are just like that you need to be very diplomatic and careful and try to be just a careful human being. And pull out quickly in case when you face anger or rejection.

Is she your monkey? Then your circus. If she is not your monkey then not your circus.

Do you have a personal relationship? Like if you left that place tomorrow, would you ever see/spend time with her again? Because if not, let it go, be respectful and supportive but let he figure that shit out for herself UNLESS you can angle for more responsibility to take something off her plate at work (for more money of course)
