Should we split TV news shows by sad and happy news? As if we had one sad news show with sad music and a happy news show with happy music?

and let people bury their heads even deeper in the sand? F all that noise they should have to confront the horrible things happening in the world, a lot of which is committed by nations and institutions that they support - waaaay too many people not interested in justice, they just want peace and quiet

That would probably be better, when you mix it all up into a jumble I guess it must have some kind of numbing/desensitizing effect.

Also the news should much less tragedy and more joyful stuff, which we all know (and it's possible that separating it in the way you describe would encourage that). The news has disproportionately tragic stuff because it's attention-getting.

I would love that. It seems like most of the happy news comes on in the morning, at least on TV.

That's a really good idea. I think it would help people feel less depressed and hopeless.
