What's your opinion on people who have very specific fetishes and will only talk about that?

I was gonna say they are fine, but the word 'only' kinda bothers me - I have no problem if somebody wants to share, but if their kink becomes their whole personality, that's kind of annoying

I have some fetishes myself and I love to talk about them and keep silent about a few but other people hide them and are silent because of fear of repercussions? I can understand both sides. Those who excessively promote theirs might be a bit obsessed about the imagination rather than the thing in reality. Like people who are into BDSm and some who make it their talking point. The latter might have the fetish of imagining more than living their fetish?

I guess if I'm not into that thing too, they could get rather boring quickly. Other than that, no opinion.

It's okay to have weird fetishes, but please don't talk about them in public.

Like, I work retail. I once found Ice Cream where the toilet paper went. I joke with my co-workers when no one is around "if you want to wipe your ass with ice cream, more power to you, but don't tell people that!"
