I went to the Philly Auto Show the other day. Why limit yourself to just one dealer when you can see selections from multiple dealers all in one place. Even got to ride in a cyber truck at the show, as well as do Camp Jeep track. Think that was supposed to simulate the off-road capabilities of that brand.
to me they seem like a specific interest, a hobbyist thing. at least to a degree. i mean i guess a lot of people can appreciate a good-looking car. my mom and i are looking at them all the time. but i've never really been interested in car shows. seems a bit geeky and/or materialistic or something. and cars are such an arbitrary human technological invention, when you get down to it. yet we seem to appreciate them almost like we'd appreciate human bodies or animals.
I did attend several car shows and fairs in Germany but since I never made it inside an actual show floor with cars it was underwhelming to say the least. In order to find some fun I was invited to the aftershow party in the exhibition booth of Mercedes. "Booth" was an entire fair building. And the booth had two stories. lol. Everything was packed with huge flatscreens and tech things. But it lacked seating. Obviously some people not only wanted to dance and used the flatscreens as seats while heavily making out and other sorts of fun. The party ruined half of the booth and left it in a state of demise. It was a hot party and things went out of control early and people were not my cup of tea after they had a couple of shots, so I left the building and climbed the security fence with others and took a cab to our hotel. While others drove the cars and turned them into garbage the party ruined the fair booth, so everybody had their type of "young entrepreneur fun". Whoa, was that a creepy dumb sort of shit party. Good thing: The booth that I had to attend to was equipped with a bar and the high officials the next morning opened up the bar at high noon and I managed to smuggle in the Spanish girls from the opposite booth for a drink or two. I mean, c'mon that type of car fair was so millennial and outdated that it almost hurt! :P
