Do you think realistically we could ever eliminate poverty or is it and will it always be inevitable for some people?

we have the resources, it's not a matter of not having enough to go around, so it is fully possible in that regard. however unless we do away with the colonial power structures that allow wealth to be hoarded so grossly, then I don't trust any leaders or structures to effectively distribute that wealth

It seems poverty has been an issue in all human civilizations for thousands of years, but I guess if we establish (1) a One World Government, and (2) a Universal Basic Income, then we could virtually eliminate poverty, or at least extreme poverty, and those two things don't sound too impossible to me.

they'll always be the haves and the have not even if we got to a star trek kind of future were everything u can ever need can be made theyll be those keeping it to weld power. Even cave ppl would hoard food or take land from the weak. Its in our DNA

It might be easy to eliminate "poverty" as it is defined by some, but much harder to actually keep people able to live and prosper by their own hands work. The most often reasons for poverty are being jobless and homeless due to illnesses. A society that doesn't support their next of kin in times of trouble greatly missed what it means to be a society. A religion that is saying that it is always your own fault is a religion for and by demons. Realistically the dominant species among the dominant species has no interest in this like any other parasite or epiphyte.

I suppose it depends on where the poverty line sits. If global population increases at the current rate - it'll only go up. Jobs are being leaned out.

I feel like things like war, poverty, racism etc will always be there regardless. Unfortunately
