If you had to choose, would you rather live in New York or Los Angeles? I hate New Yorkers but even they seem tolerable compared to all of LA's "script writers"

New York seems a more tolerable place to live.

Weather wise, I think LA would do my nut in.

I'd hate either one of those, I find environments that are mostly concrete / grey, hard, square, man-made crap bleak/depressing as hell. And the atmosphere in those places isn't very healthy either. I don't know which I'd hate more. I haven't been in LA since Windows 3.1 was a thing, and I've only driven through part of New York. I think LA might have the worse atmosphere even though it's smaller, and I think people are probably more open/indifferent to weirdos in New York so maybe I'd feel less embarrassed and anxious.

seems too expensive to live in either place, but if I had to choose I'd say NY. I'd hate LA traffic. also Nicole Byer says it's a lot easier to make random friends at bars in NY since people are more closed off/snooty/cliquey in LA

Los Angeles. People are 40x more pleasant to me there than they are at home, and the side of the family that kinda likes me my lives there. I don't know anyone there who writes scripts or wants to, most of the people I know from there are teachers.

New York. I’ve never been to LA. I can think of a hundred places I’d rather go to.

If I could afford it, definitely New York. I kind of associate LA with the sun, which I like to avoid lol.

I've never been to LA, but I have been to New York many times. I think I would do better in LA honestly.

I've been one of those writers, except I got lucky enough to actually sell one, but the whole scene was so insufferable that I fled... even with that I'm going with LA if only for weather reasons
