What are your thoughts on 'designer babies'? (i.e. babies that are altered to have nothing but desirable traits)

I think it may tamper with the soul's self-expression. I think our DNA probably, in general, reflects our soul's personality. Also, for that reason, I think it may be just as much a lie as cosmetic surgery or makeup. Their face may not match their character/energies to the degree that it normally does.

I love the possibility that people pick desirable traits for their baby and in 20 years those traits are no longer as desirable...anyway you do what you want, but don't complain when nature does its best to subvert your will

Everybody seems to be more worked up about this than female babies being aborted precisely because they're female.

I don't know how I feel about this, truth be told. I wish society wasn't so hyper focused on looks or that people by and large realised that looks=/= more value.

There is no gene that prevents you from being an asshole and there is also no gene that makes you an amiable person. Though you might get lucky increasing the chance for blonde hair and a long penis.

It's a very complex thing, which might not be polished/well tested or effective
