https://youtu.be/xGcfBRkJSWQ a compilation of all of leger's scenes in the dark knight, i would watch this over The joker, i'm sure phoenix was fine but this is brilliant, where did he get this character, The sad thing is this role may have killed him

I rarely ever watch movies so I haven't watched The Dark Knight and don't intend on watching the Joker movie with Joaquin Phoenix. I'm not into superhero/supervillain movies so I haven't seen any movies of that genre. If you can name a movie, I probably haven't seen it. I just read a description of Joaquin Phoenix's Joker movie. It does sound interesting and relatable but I still won't watch it.

The role did not kill him. He was already a troubled man.

Phoenix was fucking fantastic, not "fine". His Joker is the every man story of being ignored and downtrodden.

Its useless to compare them, they're too different. Ledger was gritty mastermind, fully fledged Joker, so in my opinion it was easier for Ledger to play Joker.

Its a lot more difficult to portray that descent into madness.

Watch Joker numb nuts.

If you didn't see the Joker yet you're missing out. Better than fine, he's right up there with Heath Ledger.

Phoenix was better than "fine", he deserves best actor. I did still prefer Ledger's Joker over his, but it would not have worked for the kind of script Joker was. It was an origin story afterall, and Dark Knight Joker was already a hardened criminal.

Jack Nicholson is my favorite live-action Joker, didn't love Heath Ledger's - I mean the acting was fine and all I guess but...I think maybe I just prefer a sillier, hammier Joker than a darker one, Batman is supposed to be the dark one, Joker is supposed to be his opposite
