I think homophobic is something probably inaccurate regarding ignorance. Bullying is more accurate because losers want satisfaction the easy savage stupid way.

It seems like they think being called homophobic is an insult. Which doesn't make any logical sense. But what's in play there isn't just irrationality, it's cruelty. Sorry to hear that.
