in my perspective.. it is about the intention. love is about affection, comfort, protect, and safety. when you love someone, their feelings simultaneously become yours. as I experienced ‘love’, I generally feel sad when they are sad.. and I am happy when they are happy.
it is distinct from obsession.
obsession comes from the amount of feelings you can or cannot control.. and it must have a safe limit—an obsession could be dangerous when you are too far from controlling it. it could cause harrow the other person.. it could harrow yourself neither. obsession in a proper way could be referred to as love, too.. nevertheless, if it is out of control, it could be a toxic form of love.
The terms too much will never give a good results. And obsessed caused by too much love. There's no sincerity inside obsession because the obsessed one doing things for their target to get feedbacks, expedting things and doing anything that they can do to get those things they pursue. So It's not sincere at all. Cmiiw.
Love and obsession may seem similar at first glance, but they are fundamentally distinct emotions. Love is a profound and selfless feeling that stems from genuine care, affection, and admiration for someone. It involves a deep connection and a desire for the happiness and well-being of the person you love. Love is patient, understanding, and allows for personal growth and freedom. It is built on trust, mutual respect, and a genuine desire to build a healthy and fulfilling relationship.
On the other hand, obsession is an intense and often irrational fixation on someone or something. It is characterized by an overwhelming desire to possess or control the object of obsession. Obsession can be all-consuming, leading to unhealthy behaviors such as stalking, possessiveness, and jealousy. Unlike love, which fosters growth and freedom, obsession stifles personal development and can be detrimental to both the obsessed individual and the one being obsessed over.
As for sincerity being considered an obsession, it is important to differentiate between the two. Sincerity refers to being genuine, honest, and authentic in one's feelings and actions. It is a positive quality that contributes to the foundation of a healthy relationship. However, if sincerity becomes an all-consuming fixation where one's thoughts and actions revolve solely around proving their sincerity, it can border on obsession. It is crucial to maintain a balanced approach where sincerity is expressed genuinely without becoming an unhealthy preoccupation.
In conclusion, love and obsession are distinct emotions with different characteristics and outcomes. Love is based on selflessness, trust, and respect, while obsession revolves around possession and control. While sincerity is an essential aspect of any relationship, it should not be mistaken for obsession. Striking a balance between genuine feelings and healthy boundaries is key to fostering a loving and sincere connection with others.
If you force it to the other person then yes? It might be considered obsession? A dangerously thin line..
