The Peanuts. I do not remember how long after their first broadcast that was.

I obviously can't remember this far back, but my mum told me that before I started talking, I used to 'sing' along to the theme tune of Neighbours, and sitting me in front of the TV whenever it came on was one of the few things that kept me quiet. I don't know, I watched a lot of TV when I was growing up, I don't know if there was a "first".. just going by how old the shows are though, a couple of the first I watched were probably Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry.
