Are you too empathic?

Nah. I can read others' emotions, generally. I can experience secondhand embarrassment, disappointment, relief, etc. Sometimes I cry because a stranger on the news is crying, or something. It's all pretty typical level empathy, I think. I'm not really sure what "too empathetic" is even supposed to be, though. Unable to regulate or identify your own emotions because you're so influenced by the others' emotions? Like when Jean Grey is hearing everyone's thoughts at once, and can't function? That ain't me. I can't function for other reasons.

I can be. I feel like I absorb other people’s feelings. Probably not the best thing for me since I’m an anxious person.

I was way too much til the point I didn't put limits and other people's problems affected my personal life. I took them personal and made me feel like shit and fucked my whole energy. I think it's good to be empathetic but also to know the limits and I'm still learning. I'm doing much better now

I probably take the needs and progress of my students a bit too seriously. It makes me a popular lecturer tho
