A bona fide ancient language that’s used verbatim around the globe per diem, versus a dodgy lingua franca made up by a Polish optician in an effort to shake up the status quo etc?

Latin. I never met a person who could speak Esperanto though some people speak English that sounds like that :-)

I spent all my energy into learning English. It was a very traumatic experience. I’m done with languages.

Tough call. Latin is cool and is probably my favorite language, but Esperanto is a lot more popular so I'd actually have people to speak it with (online).
