Do you think it's okay to not get a booster vaccine when you're young or is it dumb?

I think you should call your shots but own them too.

You don't get to whine when people are calling you dumb because of these decisions.

my policy is I refuse to judge anybody for how they deal with the pandemic anymore, maybe the Omega variant put us swiftly out of our misery

I would call it dumb… but is a big gamble. Even if you think they don’t work, doubt your infallibility for a moment. If they don’t work, then there’s no damage done.

Data shows a decrease of antibodies in the blood after a few months. Yes, the older the more rapid. But younger people do not last very much longer so they need a booster too. This is already a known effect that happens also with other vaccines. So, when you have no medical condition that would indicate a problem with the booster get your shot.

it is dumb if that's your only reason for not getting it. covid really doesn't give a shit if you're young. enough young people have died from covid OR have gotten long term complications from covid to where i wouldn't risk it. if you have access to a booster and you have no special medical considerations (e.g., immunocompromised) then i'd generally recommend you get one because the stats for boosted people are very very promising. leave a little less to chance.
