What's a social norm that you find weird?

I think it's weird and stifling that we're all expected to just sit still in professional settings. Like what if I wanted to do some squats or something? A lil stretching? What if I wanted to run to my next meeting? Our bodies would be happier for it, and it wouldn't be hurting anybody, but it's considered "weird." Like how people made fun of those kids at my high school who Naruto ran everywhere. I'm starting to think we were all just jealous they were defying social norms, cus that looked pretty fun, plus you'd get to your destination quicker

i don't think that counts as a social norm, but whatever, please, don't ask "why?" if i don't want to do or try something (that is not related to my responsibilities, but rather for entertaining). i think not wanting to do something is a pretty reasonable human right, and i shouldn't prove or explain anything in those cases.

All the norms for me seem to fall in either of two categories: Old traditional norms with long gone sense and meta-sense but still enforced. Norms that help to keep up good and friendly ways of social and personal interaction. Needless to explain why the former contain the most weird of them all?

TBH I find it weird that people find pleasure in doing anything that's not sex or drugs. Everything else is just moving atoms around, boring =/

Asking 'how are you?' to someone in which you have absolutely no interest in their answer
