Lapidarius Silver (Act I) - From his childhood to mid-adolescence, Elio resided in the Argentium abode after the untimely death of his parents and his adoption by his grandfather Wolfgang along with his siblings. Originally, he was an emotionally-stunted and self-sacrificial child who looked after his younger siblings and was subjected to the whims of his older ones. Over time, he became more aware of himself, the unusual city that he calls home, and to an extent - the world around him, through bonding with a sickly Bug-type and her child, a fragmented Alpha Pokemon who observes the lives of his creations in different realities, and a certain Dark-type Mythical that he would view as a father. Such a slew of intensely profound yet unusual life experiences would rapidly mature his emotions and develop his sense of self until he became a new person entirely. It's at this apex that both his already-notably high intellect and his innate talents would blossom profusely.
Burnished Silver (Act II) - From his late adolescence to his early adult years, Elio would attend and reside in Tork Unovan Academy - one of the oldest and most prestigious learning institutions in the Pokemon world. It was founded by the Five Unovan Royal Families and is famed for both housing and molding not only the smartest minds, but also individuals hailing from the wealthiest families found all across the globe. In this hypercompetitive environment, Elio and his siblings do their utmost to live up to the Argentium name - facing every type of danger imaginable, and establishing lifelong relationships, all the while maintaining a poise that would not only bring out and polish their talents to their utmost but make their individual and collective legacies shine brighter.
Effulgent Silver (Act III) - After graduating from TUA as its valedictorian, contracting with Deep Black Pokemon's true body, and gaining both the divine favor of the fragmented Alpha Pokemon that frequently corresponds with him and his eldest brother's blessing - who ultimately wants his younger sibling to find his own path in life, a now-18-year-old Elio starts his trainer journey. Beginning from Unova, Elio traverses a myriad of regions: winning various Leagues, Tournaments, Competitions, and Contest challenges, exploring the locales, making new connections while strengthening old ones, going on various adventures, and inevitably gaining a plethora of new yet valuable experiences. After such a long time, the silver-haired trainer's growth reaches its climax; he comes back home to where everything started and faces his biggest challenge yet. How he handles it will decide not his fate, but that of his family, his friends, and his home region.
To be honest I don't have like a super planned theme for her. Most things in her story are just the events that have been happening because of her decisions and disposition.
But I guess one important aspect that is tackled in her story and is one of the central themes is accepting that no one has their life figured out. Even adults, people who seem successful in their career, are in constant doubt as they're not all-knowing. And Briar's story is also a story of grieving and getting closure.
Another theme going on is 'time'. While some characters in her story are too fixated in the future, some others, like Briar, are stuck in the past and can't look forward. Her story is also one of accepting and embracing the present, without forgetting where she came from and keeping the future in mind.
Wily is the main focus for that, and it's basically an allegory for mental health, and a journey of improving in attitude and outlook.
The 2 main things are:
-Learning to be okay with bad past experiences and to not let them taint your view of the world.
-Learning to cope with fear and anxiety of what MIGHT happen, and to accept that you can't 'solve' for life and stop every bad thing from happening. And that trying to always comes at a price.
Kingston: redemption arc w a lot of fuck ups
Ruth: sth like Akane Tsunemori Psycho Pass where it's like "yea the world is shitty but I don't have to be" and she sticks to her own morals despite everything telling her it would be easier to just give up
Mirajane: Butterfly effect
Hoo boy, there's a whole cocktail of stuff I want to try to explore with Odd's story, but I think a major theme for him (and the way I want to write Giratina, as kind of a mirror) given how they came together is "coming to terms with your existence, the inherent joys and sadness all are faced with when living, and trying your best to remain good/true to yourself regardless of the circumstances you find yourself in"
Also mix in a bit of making peace with guilt/grief from situations beyond his control that ended with people he cares for being hurt, and that he in part feels responsible for
honestly Estella wasn't made with any of that mind lmao. I'm just now starting to piece her story together.
The theme for her is maturity, really, and the painful journey to achieve it. Getting her shit together, getting over herself, and focusing her talents to reach her full potential.
Post-Development Estella, lets say 26 years old vs current 21, is a very different woman
