seeing people wearing gloves out to the grocery store as PPE but they don't understand aseptic technique so them wearing gloves is effectively pointless. the undergrads in my lab do this too. they'll wear nitrile gloves during an animal sacrifice and in between doing lab work, they pull their phones out of their pockets and text without taking their gloves off. it is very irritating to see
Whenever I'm watching something painfully awkward and cringeworthy. Like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LBBrSSyp7_M&t=186s
Hard to say. Secondhand embarrassment just blends in with the rest of the embarrassment that I am the source of. Why? bc I'm not some ENTITLED ASSCHEEK who thinks I can just COAST on other people's embarrassing existences. I'm out here getting it done.
Haha, too often! When people are uncivil, uneducated or not well bred and behave in a way that would make apes feel embarrassed, I feel second hand embarrassment. In general I feel that way also recently watching US news on telly. I cannot help, it looks and feels as if some rare remote tribes react to Ebola. Unaware, uneducated, calling for magic, spitting doubt into every corner, loving magical cures and doing everything in the power of dumbness to make things worse.
