Personal question: how to stop getting sad/cry for no reason?

There's not, that I know of, a healthy way to turn off your feelings. Sometimes "sad for no reason" is depression and it needs to be treated by professionals. It's also okay to be sad sometimes, even if you don't know why exactly, it's just not supposed to be happening a lot or all the time. Other times, you have a very obvious reason to be sad and cry, but you're conditioned to minimize it or ignore it so you think you're sad for "no reason."

I don't know, but I see some people are recommending seeing a doctor - I'd just say it's probably better to see a therapist or psychologist than a psychiatrist. Psychiatry is scientistic pill-pushing that tends to treat fundamentally psychological and/or spiritual problems as brain-chemical problems and tries to solve them with chemicals. The chemicals have nasty side effects, including a lessening of feeling in general and, in some cases, suicidal ideation. They're not that great for your body either.

I’m with LaDama on this. If you’re crying for no reason, and the things you normally love doing aren’t fun any more, you should consider talking to your doctor.

Find out what’s making you sad and either confront it or avoid it ? Or go on long walks …

There may be a medical reason for this, Arthurito. Please see a doctor, 🙏🏼 😔
