Since my first days on the internet, I never liked the idea of anonymity, and always used my real name and photo when talking with people online. What about you?

There's something I learnt during all these years in Social Media. There's a huge amount of pervs, cobards and sick people around. The less they know about you, the better. Believe me. They're not good in their heads and neither know limits (or they act like they don't know)
I used to show my pics, but I'm done.

Same as Sean. There are sites where I only have friends or followers that I know irl. They should already be familiar with my face and name. The only place I haven’t shared more is retro bc there is no one here that I’ve met in person.

I’ve always been anonymous. Mostly because in the beginning of my internet usage (11th grade) I had a lot of repressed emotions that I only felt free to let out online and would not want those being traced back to me 😂

There are valid privacy reasons to not do that but when I was younger it was fun to just pretend to be a character for shits and giggles

Same. And what do people ask me? How come your name is fake Kate? You look like a latin girl. Are you a boy on clickbait? blahblahblah....

My thing is that I'm generally against posting my life online for just anybody. If I develop trust I'm happy to share more over phone or maybe text, but there is way too much that can go wrong from giving Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg all your personal data, like what's trustworthy about those ghouls?
