What was your favourite book (or book series) as a child?

For some reason survival stories really resonated with me at a young age. I loved Hatchet, Robinson Crusoe, Swiss Family Robinson, Adrift etc.. Just enjoyed the unpredictability and suspense I guess.

Not sure how old I was when I read them but maybe Somebody Somewhere and Nobody Nowhere by Donna Williams, an autist.

Anne of Green Gables, Little House On the Prairie, The Great Brain... too many to name.

I was into the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys shit, it was about all I was allowed, sometimes I would sneak and read Goosebumps or something

I loved books when I was a kid, so I had lots of favourites. Some that I can remember:

Can't You Sleep, Little Bear? by Martin Waddell

Little Beaver and the Echo by Amy MacDonald

Ruby by Maggie Glen

If Dinosaurs Came to Town by Dom Mansell - and pretty much any book about dinosaurs

The Usborne Young Puzzle series

Where's Wally? series

the BFG, Raven's Gate (a series), the Lightning Thief series, Harry Pottah, Touching Spirit Bear
