why does it has to be teams?

At work? I don't know. I think some companies aren't aware of the other options. XD

So you can learn to work with your classmates! You learn to manage tasks and apply everyone's skills where it is the most beneficial!

I really wish it didn't have to be teams. I've tried to use it on relatively modern hardware(a 2017 macbook air) and it CHUGS. I checked, when not in a meeting and just on the homescreen it took about 20% of 1 core. This laptop has 2 cores. Teams ate 10% of my CPU without doing anything. I hate it with a passion.
