Actually, I think I'd be much more likely to move on from an indiscretion in a relationship if the person who made it actually took responsibility for it. If someone can demonstrate that they are not a sociopath who tries to blame and gaslight their partner rather than refusing to be accountable for their own actions, then it's just easier to trust them moving forward.
