What do you think of food that combines spicy and sweet and sour and hot? My friend always claims: No fruit in my food! It has to be separate. You can serve me a mango salad with chopped red onion and carrots and red peppers and mint any time...

Do not think - just EXPLORE life! Culturally there is SO... much diversity and food galore <3 You never know what you'll love/hate till you try it. (BEWARE though some nummies are so caloric that they can make anyone go on the fluffy side) >.< (Tajin+LemonJuice+Fruit=Ecstasy!)

I find "sweet and sour" sauce disgusting. I don't mind candy that's sweet and sour though.

I love a good mango salad, usually pairs well with some kind of white fish. I don't usually mind uncommon flavorings, Indian food does a nice job of that.

It's fine by me - I make mango habanero salsa all the time, even if dealing with mangoes is a mess ... brown sugar or honey can go well with some savory stuff (I know you're not a honey fan, haha)

Never been a fan of savoury sweet and sour - think my pallet is too sensitive to the combination.

I'm the same, I'm very particular about my food being separated from each other lol. No spicy food ever either.
